copy movies on my cable?

i live in an apartment here and we have it seems like an abbreviated ubc package. mostly thai channels, foxnews and a couple star channels. but last night on channel 2 there was what seemed to be copy movies on my tv. it was star wars and mr &mrs smith, both new movies. the quality wasnt tthat good and it was in thai with english subtitles. thought that was weird

you probably have cable there and yes I have heard some cable companies putting on copy DVD's and VCD's..

In fact I heard of one company in BKK when the late night movie would often break and there would be a VCD logo while you waited for Somchai to wake up and flip the disc.. Some nights he had been on the Samsong and it took him a while !!!

I have the same cable that you described and yes they are pirated VCDs. You get some very new films though quality is not always great.

As Livinlos said, i've often had to wait for the discs to be changed halfway through the movie. I think they play it from a PC as i've switched on my tv to see a windows xp desktop.

yeah, 1 channel shows all copy movies some new and some not so new but english language. Another channel shows a lot of the latest blockbuster movies like War of the Worlds in thai.

Only in Thailand!
