just divorced and first time in Phuket
Hi guys,
WOW ! have just finished doing two gorgeous Thai girls up the ar$e, expensive but WORTH EVERY BAHT  I'm due to go back home to Blighty at the end of the week, but now not so sure I really want to. The girls here are truly gorgeous, not like those fat old ugly *****es getting pissed up every weekend in town on a Saturday nite, like the old hag that was my wife - thank god she's gone. Question, for you guy's living here: did I just get lucky or are these girls typical of what I can expect ? Also how much money do I need to survive comfortably out here, I don't plan on working ,at least not for now, so just want to relax watching porn in the mornings then shagging after a few beers in the evening - would £100 GBP do it all ?? cheers ! off for another singer now.

First..welcome to the board...
I am however puzzled by the question, you said that you were in los, so you know what you've been spending...so I'm missing the question, unless you only spent 1 day in patong you would already come to realize your experience was either the norm or not. Maybe I missed the intent of the question...I can be a bit hard headed at times

You can rent a basic simple no frills apartment in Patong for around B4K. I think your aware of the cost of other things, you'll just need to add in the cost of visa runs every 30 days. Congrats
Good to hear that you celebrated your new found freedom with a shagfest in paradise. It's funny that many new couples come to paradise to celebrate their new marriage. Then, a few years down the road the same guy comes back to the same place now divorced and really experiences everything Thailand has to offer. Full circle that is!!

A trip to LOS should be mandatory for every man newly freed from the bonds of matrimony!! It took me over 2 and a half years to get there. Much time wasted!!
When you ask the 100 pounds question, I assume that you were pulling out all the stops, money no object, in your just-conmpleted trip and are wondering what it would really cost if you settled in there for awhile. Last winter, when I was there for 3 months, there were very few days that I slept alone, and none that I remember where I didn't go out for a few drinks and socializing at the discos. I had a few beauties along the way, but for the most part, I was quite happy with the 1000 Baht/night girls. I stayed in a nice hotel with a great pool, but nothing fancy, and ate good food in restaurants every day, but not the high class ones where you are paying for the ambience, and decorations, in addition to the food. And although I don't think I went a day without at least a few drinks, I am not a heavy drinker and didn't run up any big bar tabs. I was in Phuket almost the whole time, too, so I didn't do a lot of travelling or sight-seeing. The bottom line was that I spent an average of only about $75 per day(3000 Baht), not including air fare. I didn't live like a king, but I had everything I wanted. 100 lbs./day is probably closer to LivinLOS's budget(if he even knows the meaning of the word, "budget" , and he does live like a king, with a big fancy house with view and pool and the whole nine yards!!!! Well you are dubble lucky! Never, ever had a TG, BG allow to use the "backdoor"!
 About your budget-questions it depends on many things. I rent a house in Kata (if you are there a longer time, you don't need always the crowd of Patong), where i rent a house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom with tv/dvd, for 15.000 B/month. Don't get too excited, this is a nice house, not so big and no fancy things like a swimming-pool. For the rest it all depends. As you know it smaller restaurant, food is cheap, but all these beers a day, could make expences go higher! Also depends if you take a lady every day, if you keep one several days (food drinks, little presents). Anyway, a lot of fun can be had for a resonable price! Welcome to the board!

guys !
Thanks for all the replies. Yeph I kinda figured out once I got sober I'll need a decent wad of cash to keep me going, so quitting work just yet is probably not a good idea for me  . Instead I'll be back in the winter  with more savings and more buddies and will really go to town Feck I really don't want to go home and see all those ugly fat ho's as soon as I land at Heathrow.
