Phuket - When-why Or How ???

I was just thinking about the first time i went to LOS it was FEB O4 and i was 20yrs old, i had just been away with work for 4 months and the day i got back i found out that my falang girlfriend at the time had been shagging her boss for the last month or so.

Anyway there were 3 lads that i had been working with in Iraq that i knew were flying in the next few days, so i got hold of one of them and sad i wanted to go, anyway the next thing i knew i was on a flight on my own and all i knew was that i had to get in a taxi and head for a city called PATTAYA, i knew it was about 2 hours away and my mates were staying in a place called The Holiday Manion, finally i got there and asked the receptionist if my mates were there? 'yes' she said 'there is a message waiting for you' it said ' get a quick shower and get your butt on a moterbike taxi and head down to Classroom a-go-go!! Bearing in mind i didn't have a clue what i was doing, i didn't even know what a moterbike taxi was. I did it anyway and got to the classroom and there were my mates, i was well chuffed and i had the time of my life. i was ment to stay for 2 weeks but ended up changing my flight and stayed for a month. now i been all over LOS and been 5 times i am heading back out in 10 days on the 13th AUG for my 6th trip. bring it on!!!!

Anyway i was just wondering if any other BM's had any storys about how/why and when the got to LOS for the first time, just think there might be some interesting and funny storys???

I arrived here because my dad had his 50 year birthday and invited me and my sister for a Thailand holiday, and at that time Thailand was a new charter destination for Swedish people and my parents thought it would be a great place to celebrate his birthday. This was back in 1996.

Then I come back here with friends few times and I took out a 5 months stay in September 1999, after these 5 months I bought MTB and called my boss and quitted my work.

As per a post in an old thread..

On my very first tour of Thailand I remember being in Cowboy and this absolutely stunning girl walked up wearing nothing but cowboy boots and hat with a 'holster' arrangement containing limes and salt and tequilla with shot glasses loaded up like ammo.. Without asking for money she just walked right up.. started smearing her nips with lime and adding salt to one and then loaded a shot glass with the obvious instruction not needed to be said..

I clearly remember thinking after sucking tequila titties with the lime salt combo... I could live here !!! That was first tour, no wonder I came back.
