i'm trying to get some information on a thai bike licence. I want to ride a bike bigger than 125cc but don't hold a uk bike licence, had a few run ins with the boys in brown in april who seemed to know that i couldn't ride a 500cc on a uk car licence.......after getting stopped 3 times and loads of bullshit i swopped it for a 125. I have been told i can just do a thai test and get a 1 year licence, is this true?
I have an address in phuket if that is an issue.

You 'might' be able to get an IDP in the uk marked with motorbikes even if you dont have a bike license (they did to me once).. With an IDP you can convert it into a Thai license for a small fee and an eyetest..

they shouldn't let you out on the road on more than a tricycle anyways mate

i assume IDP means international driving permit or something like that, anyway thanks for the info, oh yea thank you as well steve, just remind me how old are you and what do you drive!!!!!!!!!
