What is flaming ?
I am not trying to be funny or contoversial but i dont know in what context the word flaming is used on this board can someone explain what is meant by flaming as i have not been a member of any forums before so i dont understand it means this is a genuine question and i am sure that there are other members who dont understand as well

It includes, but is not limited to postings which are personal attacts or insulting comments towards other BM's.
There are really only 2 rules on this board. 1) no flaming 2) no posting of nude pics

Flaming is the spontaneous ignition with a small flame-thrower of someone who has 'temporarily' peed you or others off, it's not to be used in the newbies area. I will give you an example of ME being flamed, so nobody should take offence at this OK?........................here goes!
Me!! Blah Blah Blah!  Me being really annoying!  Me being flamed for being a prat!  I have no nude pics of myself either, also banned in the newbies area. Guess it's your lucky day Talbotman!!  Hope this helps! It bloody hurt too! The things I do to help people! Tch Tch. Take care Talbotman.

its normally just the practice of being sarcastic or plain rude to someone who has made a stmt or asked a question..
ie..What is flaming i havent heard it before? A: Why dont you use the frikkin search engine noobie and stop wasting my time. Dubs

my attempt at a definition of flaming
a. an attempt by a regular BMer to bully/cow a noob, often using citing their ignorance of board norms as the put down, done in an unhelpful or aggressive way. b. on ongoing row between 2+ board members who cannot agree to disagree or who are incapable of holding a reasoned discussion, resulting in escalating use of insults. a is sad. b can be entertaining, but is really a waste of energy.
