Raining...
I know north Thailand and Bangkok had lot of rain lately, look like it reached Phuket now...
I feel sorry for Marty-Hollander (BM) who asked me yesterday if I thought we should have sunshine today and I said yes, he were looking for another relaxing day at the beach

Yeah been heavy as hell.. My mates came over from UK and since they arrived after great weather last weeks. they are getting this now..
Of course we really need it as water levels in reseviours are at really low levels considering the season.. WE NEED RAIN to get through next year..
Just been out playing with my phone... This is what it looks like from the top of the hill
And out front..
I really like this phone !!!

The phone itself does this kind of stuff..
Panorama shots, burst mode (less rez but multi pic etc) as wel as after effects like solorize / black and white, negative, etc..
Only just learning how to get the most out of it.. But its really fun and as said I cant be arsed carrying a camera so love this phone..
Solorize shot I did today
Black and white in the rain..
I know all this can be done after with PS or CS2 (anyone have the full suite on DVD.. Not found one in the SW bins yet).. but its just fun toying..
I wont bore you with the night time pics but I am even learning to take better night pics now.. Just need a really steady hand !!! If you lower the ISO settings some of my EXIF data shows 1/5th sec exposures.. By hand thats tough...
And yes its a K750i but will soon probably become a W800 in FW modding..

OK 2 more from last night...
A unusually sober looking Gee... Fair bit of noise in the image on this...
Tiger (no flash) night shot.. Looking busy'ish !!!
Those are the kind of shots that are where it fails and lets you down a bit.. I am ordering an add on flash unit that should help that.. Also learning a little more about steadying the shots, adjusting white balance etc is improving the shots..
The imageshack site is pretty handy for hosting snaps like that.. We could do well photoblogging Patong tours with this level of cam..

Great pics Sefton and nice pad. I've got a gadget phone and have not used it to send any of the pictures I have taken (Probably be arrested in most countries for most of them anyway!) Is it expensive to say, send a picture to another phone? Does the other phone have to be compatible to MMS etc. I've been out of the phone loop for too long. We are still on Nokia 3310's out here!
I'm still one for a phone and a separate digital camera, but try buying a phone without a built in camera these days!
Anyway, back to the rain. Wooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooo I've not seen rain for nearly a year now! Let me at it.

Sony Ericsson K750i allows to take 2 megapixels pics, it's better that most of phones with camera and it have many functions.
http://www.mphone.co.uk/sonyericsson/k750i.html
To send the pics, you have to activate MMS by your operator, you can send it to an email address or to another phone if MMS is activated too.
I too do prefer to use a real camera to take my pics, but, as I don't take my camera everytime (especially if I go out), the mobile phone with integrated camera can be a good alternative.

I think thats called "Cloud seeding". If I remeber correctly they do it when they think that a big storm is brewing and want to stop a big build up. So they seed the clouds and make it rain. My geography lessons at school lead me to think that in parts of the U.S, it happens most years to stop the large tornadoes.
My god! I must get a hobby!

Thailand are leaders at cloud seeding but I dont think yesterdays was seeded..
They generally seed the clouds when they come in off the indian ocean (westerly wind) as they are heaviest with water.. Yesterdays rain was (I think) coming from SE..

Yes they are good at seeding. These skills gained from doing something bad have turned into something usefull, many operations were taking place out of thailand over laos and vietnam, trying to flood em out back then....nothing to be proud of mind you...but the techniques are not much different today..very good results overall in se asia it is a common place for countries that can afford it.
