funny story
gail is taking care of my dog, bishop, in pattaya. she has a small house with a fenced in yard, so he hangs out in the yard alot. one thing you have to understand is that my dog is 13yrs old and has probably barked a total of 100 times in his life, he just doesnt bark. so i was talking to gail, and she was trying to tell me that bishop now barks at all the other dogs, but she didnt know the word "bark", so she says" bishop go ruff ruff" but she was doing a barking noise. it was pretty funny

Best friend
Hi Marc26,
Good dog story.
If you are not a dog lover this story probably wouldn't do much for you but it made me smile.
I also have an old dog (Border Collie). He sleeps in my bedroom because he has arthritis. He has always been there when I have had a lot of sh1t in my life. My house has never been robbed whilst the houses around me have been done over. All in all, a good mate.
A little while ago I was given the ultimatum. "It's either me in the bedroom or the dog". Was interesting to see the look on my girlfriend's face when I told her that I guess our relationship was over.
A few years ago I met an American girl who was married to an Aussie guy. She told me that she loved it out here but Aussie men were a bit strange when it came to their pets. He husband wanted to buy a house with a larger yard so his dog would have plenty of room to run around.
Fortunately my Thai girlfriend is also a dog lover so I don't believe I will be getting that ultimatum again.
Steve.

to me, the thing that makes us the Thais diifferent form us the most is the extent to which they are social beings. They always like to be in groups, and their sense of self is very wrapped up with their family and friends. That is why face is so important to them, and I think it explains a lot of our things about the behavior of the girls that we find odd, puzzling, or see as being insincere or duplicitous. But it also explains why they are so much fun to be with!!
Perhaps the dogs of LOS are a bit like the people. They have got Bishop into the mix. Now he is a more social animal. Always has something to say. No doubt making his explanations so he can keep up his "face" with the other dogs. Or perhaps he's just a late bloomer. Maybe he's got a TGF!! That would give him something to talk about!!! He just can't resist those petite slant-eyed little dogs with the cute curled-up tails!!

Hey Paul....speak to Aussie Dollar, he might be able to bring over one of his "slow" greyhounds that he doesn't need, to keep Bishop company.
