Never done a High Season trip to Patong.....only Bkk last year.

Does it kick in early December and build up.....or is BANG the period between Xmas day.....and News Years Day when everbody arrives.

and is it basically finished by the end of January ?...or earlier ?

Of course, SteveM and Nicke know the most about this and each year may be a litle different. But when I've gone in mid-December, it was already hopping, then more and more so until after New Year's Day, then tailing off but still busy til mid-January.

Needless to say, it went a bit different last year!!

As far as I know most of the travelagencies in western europe have booked as many tickets to Phuket as they used to before the tsunami. So if its similar all around the world it will hopefully start kicking in the middle of November and last at least until the end of February. Ive been here for crimbo for the last 4 yaers and its been really busy (until the tsunami offcause)
So lets cross our fingers and hope the information I've got is right....

Geir

I actually have made some bookings recently for Christmas.......but l am still not 100% sure whether l will proceed with them (l most likely will though).....depends on work levels etc......at this stage l will be arriving in Patong on 24/12/05 and am due back in Oz on 15/1/06.......will post this in arrivals for WW to update on his list.
