Just a week?

Hi,

Been to LOS before and would like to go back soon. Thing is I've not got many days leave from work left. So, I can either go for a week, or maybe try and combine that week with another two at Xmas.

But with the price almost doubling at Xmas, who reckons I could still have a good time going for a week? I reckon I could, and the only alternative is a week in the EU somewhere.

Go for it mate.
I've spent 5-6 days in Patong before and, although I would have loved to be there longer, I never regretted going only for a short holiday.

For me, if it's a choice between going for a week and not going at all I would go.

I first went to Patong at Christmas 97, went back in March, July and October for a week each time. It was all I could get off work and came down to a 'Thailand or not' question, so I went.

The hardest thing you have to do is sit still for twelve hours or so to get there, and deal with a little jet-lag when you get home. I say go.

GO for the week in los i have had 2 3 day stays in hamburg this summer and while i had a great time i reckon i spent as much as i would have in a week in los but if you get a ryanair flight from stanstead to lubeck it will cost you about £50 and then you can get ahotel for 25 euros a night then all you have to do is never go in the doors of any of the rip off table dancing clubs stick to normal german pubs and go to the eros centres there are 2 of these full of thai girls but i would still go for los

Thanks for the advice, looks like I'll be going on my own too, which should be an eye-opener.

If it is a choice between going or not going, I would go. But if you can spend 2 weeks instead of one a bit later, I would wait. 1 week means 5 days as you will lose 1 day to go and 1 day to come back home. Too short for me for a so long trip from Europe to Asia, but once again, if I had no choice, I would go.
2 or 3 weeks are a minimum IMO.
