how much???
hello all
just wondering how much £££ i need for a great time in los. bbk 3/4 days then to phuket for 13/days. i think ill book with thai airways around £700 but i dont know how much to bring for when im there. also is feburary march still a good time to go there? as in high season lots of tg's ive never been, and from what ive read so far on here im very excited.

Have also booked for this time with swiss air for 500 euro, from Germany. There are similiar threads, money you need depends on you.
BG is around 200 Baht bf, 1500 Baht lt GoGO is around 500 Baht bf, 3000 Baht lt Ring the bell is between 1500-3000 Baht Beer is around 100 Baht, Ladydrink 100 Baht. Have a good dinner 350-1000 Baht. Make trips about 1000-2000 Baht, if you take the local. This depends on my own experience in 8/05 in Patong. Maybe we will see us, i hope  tim1234

Why fly thai?
Add to your "good heart budget" by sorting a cheaper flight
Feb flights with Malaysian to Phuket (same flight time as Thai) were recently and maybe still available at just under £500. That gives a few more treats to be taken where it really counts. £100 a day will go a long long way!!

Having A Good Time
I think we can all agree that you can have a "good time" in Thailand on very little money. When I was in the North I spent about $10 a day. It was fun and easy. But...
Patong is Patong. It is a bit like saying "How much money do I need to go to America?" and "How much money will I spend in Disneyland?". As the Thai people say "up 2 U". My own experience is that 7000 Baht (£100) is sufficent for a great time if you don't go mad. If you do then you will need a lot more!!! But having said that I am sure it is possible to go to Patong and not spend much money. I just have not ever quite succeeded... Mac

Yeah I would say most gogo girls I know are looking for 1500 - 2000 in general..
Of course they ask more (hell a sharkies bird started at 3k the other nigth and it was late in Safari !!!) but 1500 seems like a current gogo minimum unless she is a minger..

Geeez!! 4,000 baht is a mighty amount compared to what a bg askes for which I understanding to be around 1,000 baht.. Are the gogo girls that much more aggresive and unabashed when it comes to give a price for LT???
 If so I'll stick strictly to sweet bgs...   Unless this is more a personality thing not depending on where they work (beer bar or gogo bar)

Well I think you will find that the 'stunners' of the bar world will also be looking for 1500 - 2k LT....
Try and ask Mai from Bunny bar for a 1000 baht LT (she asked for 5k from my buddy but it was early evening and she didnt want to leave the bar... Old trick).. The girl I mention above was from Sharkies bar (a beer bar) and was asking 3k in Safari at 4 or later in the morning.. Sure lots of girls will go for 1000 and also many the money will not be discussed but the best of the best are not 1k LT the first night IMHO.. Also 'asks' and 'gets' is totally another matter.. They are trying it on to see how much you know and what your likje at spending dosh.. Of course if you are with the same girl for a few nights then it nearly always is down to that kind of rate... itsd also how you play it.. You chase them the rates up, you let them show interest in you and chase you and the rate drops.. Standard psychology in any type of deal the world over..

Thanks man, great info. I think I'll go for the "let them do the chase" I think it'll work fine judging from the way I was treated the first time I was there eventhou I had company
 And to me, women or girls that behave as if they're queens of the world is a major turn off, which means I wouldn't go with such even for free...  A sweet woman wearing the "right" outfit, being sweet and pleasent to be with is what it would take to make me tick. Then I wouldn't mind at all in going with her and giving her 1,5 or 2 K even if she's fine with a grand. I think I know the girl you mentioned... If I'm not mistaken her pic is in this forum and I had in mind asking if she's "taken" however since you mention she's asking such rates it's a major noway  and she's off my list... And I have in mind changing girl every night or at least everynight someone ask me to barfine her, otherwise I guess I'll stick to the massage places  Thanks again for the info! i never pay more then 1000 i never tell them a price just give them it in the morning, i've never payed more than 1000, i am on about pattaya more the phuket though as i have only ever had 1 gogo girl in phuket, but pattaya i've never payed more

Damn! 4k-5k LT? I had a threesome for 3k with really top foxes from superbaby.
And 1k for two other LT . and a hottie in a undercover 6am gogo in bangkok asked me for 1500 LT and i though "rip off alert" And each times i was drunk and totally lacking in the negociating/cheap charlying department. Talking Pattaya (probably the cheapest in Thailand) versus Phuket is not apples to apples..
Pattaya especially with its large scale gogo scene is much cheaper.. Drinks, girls, food, accomodation, etc..
