Hello.

I know the thai's as a whole like to keep there skin as white as possible. And Thai's with lighter skin have higher status, and are considered more attractive.

Anyway I am a pasty white boy, but my mate who will be travelling to thailand with me next year has very dark skin. Im not sure how many of you (apart from Australians) are familiar with Papua new Guinea. Anyway its an islander race. The skin color is not as dark as the african american but its still very brown.

I want to know if this is going to be a big problem for him. As last time I was there I did not see an extreemly large amount of dark skinned individuals. Basicially will he have trouble with the ladies?

Simple answer, NO. The colour of his baht is the same as yours.

As a "Dark Skinned Individual" I have never had any issues with Thai girls in the past infact I often feel that as a "Dark Skinned" American the thai girls love talking with me about my culture especially about "Dark Skinned" music from America.

Like SteveM said...his baht is the same colour as anyone's ...he will be fine.

Furthermore, if he wears his traditional warrior outfit I think it would make for a very interesting night out down on Bangla rd.

butterflyblonde....his dad is white so he is half cast. Yea the traditional gear would probably go down well lol.

The last 'recorded' case of cannibalism was in the 70's in borneo !!! I dont know whose left to do the recording generally but its still a mad place.. I know some oil workers there that have stayed in the coastal towns and sometimes you will see one of the native guys who (no offence) are only just out of the stone age, walking along with a carrot on his ****.. Talk about culture shock !!!!

One of the last truly wild places left I guess..
