Any type 2 diabetics arriving in Phuket soon, make sure you bring sufficient pills with you, as there appears to be a major shortage of metformin on the island at the moment. Havnt managed to find any pharmacies which have them.

Thanks for the offer, managed to locate some last night. But now that store is out, she obviously knew supply is short, so instead of the 30 baht for a strip, she charged me 95 baht for a strip.

One Of My Mates Is A Diabetic And He Tested Me For It Yesterday..........he Took Some Blood From My Finger And Did His Test With It...i Came Up 6.2..........ok.he Told Me If I Was Over 7 I Would Be On Danger!!!!!!! So Soemthing Is Going Well For Me !!

Interesting,the pharmacudical plant I work for manufactures Metformin.I never realized what it was for.We send it out for packaging ,but have the bulk product on sight.What do you need,one bucket full or two.5555555 JUST KIDDING!!!....really,boss...just kidding!
We also do big business with Pfizer.I've met a lot of Pfizer top brass when they tour the Plant.I ALWAYS chuckle to myself thinking "C"MON give us the Viagra contract!"Funny thing is,we might actually get it someday!!

And yes,as a pharacudical company we are of course evil,but we're small, so we're only a little evil.

A normal reading is the mid to high 5's, and once you start to hit the mid 6's, you need to start taking a serious look at your lifestyle, as you will/may start up the ladder. One reading is not sufficient to say either way. You need to go to your doctor and ask for Hemoglobin HgA1c test, as this test will give you a picture of the average amount of glucose in your blood over a normally 3 month period.

It really is something to be taken seriously.
