Hey All!!
First thing i want to say is i love the site, so much information!!! Great idea! Me and my brother just booked a trip to bangkok from the 19th to the 1st of this month  ...it was kind of a last minute thing.We wanted to go somewhere half way around the world and have a hell of a time and we figured where better then bangkok,  lol.....anyway we are 22 and 20 year od newbie's to thailand and to traveling abroad....so any advice would be great, and meeting up with some of you guys would be great..... Where are some good placesto go out? places to avoid? best shopping? Where are the best looking women ............Any ideas for sight seeing, any advice is greatly appreciated.......my e-mail is whealy22@yahoo.comThanks allot everyone!!

For women obviously Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong.. Soi 33 is worth a look..
Could try Lollitas on Soi 8 (the ******* bar) eden on Soi 7/1 for a 2 girl pornstar experience and Soi 7 beergarden and Gullivers (soi5) for freelancers.. Probably worth heading to Q Bar, Mysique and Bed Supperclub for less P4P nightlife also.. Shopping MBK and worldtrade center is all worth a look.. Enjoy

also is the phi phi island very far away? if not how would i get there? From what I read that is the place to be!! does anyone know how much it would cost to get a place over there?

You can also get a day trip to Phi Phi but it is certainly worth at least an overnight trip Plane trip from BKK-PKHT is about US$150 return-you will love Patong if you go and probably end up like all of us Patong junkies on this Board who return several times a year!!

Hey IJ,I think that the Thai people bring offerings of food and drink to the temples,so maybe "being the temple" aint such a bad idea!At least people would take off their shoes before they walked all over you.
whealy just thought I'd mention that Pattaya is only a two hour ride from Bangkok.Not the cultural centre of Thailand to be sure,But if TG per square foot and Agogos aplenty are part of your criteria it's something to consider.It can't equal the friendlier atmosphere,nicer beaches and overall scenery of the south,but there are beaches,diving,watersports,go-cart tracks,and legions of women on an epic scale.It is the origional Sin City by the Sea.Trust me, a 22 year old male can't go too wrong there. Try to get south to Patong Beach and the Mai Thai bar ,but if your schedule doesn't allow for it,Pattaya is a helluva backup plan.IMHO

When in BKK, the one must-see site is the King's Palace. It is a fantastic place where the king used to reside. There are lots of temples there, too, including the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Go early, hire a guide there to show you around, and make a day of it. Quite a wonderful place as sights go, full of history, and neat things to look at.
