Got back 2 weeks ago , still a bit quiet but plenty of girls. Lots of action , most nights BMs popping into MTB. Aussie bar should have finished their extension by now , will be the biggest bar in Soi Bangla. Slowly starting to build up towards high season , you will have a great time and be able to judge things for yourself.
Have a good trip , and post a report when you get back.

There are always girls about, never seen it anyother way. Noticeable increase in farang walking about and also bar takings, All good signs.

I got back on the 24th September (Seems like a life time ago! Must be this place!!) I have been to Phuket in September twice before (2000 & 2002) I have been in high season (Several times) and found it to be too much 'in my face' - "Up to you" as they say.
I fully expected it to be reasonably quiet, a spot of rain (No problem with that after here either!) I was surprised just how many Farangs there were there this time! I did enjoy looking around the markets, street stalls without looking over shoulders, a seat at a favourite restaurant without having to wait. One afternoon, I was the only one in the reception at Christins!! Bargain. I went to a few hotels with other BM's and the occupancy rate was around 40-45% according to staff, which isn't too bad I suppose for September.
There are also fewer potential 'road-rash' idiots on the roads, so you can have a good ride down to Kata, Karon or up to Kamala without going in convoy with about 200 other boy racers who are half cut on Heineken by midday. Oh yes, no queues at the attractions, straight into the Go-Karts and straight onto the track, sorted.
I personally liked it. Plenty of space on the beach. A quiet pool side to read my book and listen to my music. I was out most nights by around 9pm and it wasn't until really 11-Midnight that it started to pick up at the Soi bars. Plenty of BM's passing through at the MTB, again, I enjoyed it. The Go-Go's were still going way past 4am and plenty of punters going through the doors.
Only trouble I saw in two weeks was a farang bloke hitting his farang wife square on the nose, out of the blue. It was soon quashed by other farangs. He was probably getting a bit frustrated 555555 Poor bloke. In high season, I have seen a bit more. Sad this has to happen on such a beautiful island and perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned it, but gives you a flavour of what was going on while I was there.
The place seemed 'geared' (or is that Geir-ed!! ) for the high-season. I won't be able to travel during that period this time but have found it so much cheaper to go low-season, flights, accommodation, transport, girls, even the t-shirts! So will just have to keep putting the pennies in the jamjar for next year.
As for the girls.......................I think it has all been said! As for the last picture, yes, that is a LB and friend heading home from my place, think she had a few Patong Villa towels in those bags too!

Once a Squaddie, always a Squaddie. Not sure what the bands were for. Each band had a young lady carrying a placard with the name of a hotel on it. I think they were sponsoring a football event. I just snapped a few pictures as the kids looked like they were having a really great time. The LOS or what!!
Anyway, my foot started tapping and soon enough my shoulders were back, stomach in, arms parallel to the ground and I was marching alongside them at the Regimental pace of 120 steps to the minute. Joking apart, it was great to see everyone having such a brilliant time.
By the center, quick march, deft dight deft! Thanks for the memories Faulty! 55555

Gee Denver, you have given Mikegb a run for his money with the LB's....Did you hit double figures ?.......l guess it must be hard to come from Iraq, where you are constantly in the company of men, not to shake that habit.......5555555.

I reserve the right to remain silent. Anything I say on this forum will be used in evidence against me 555555555
Definately double figures yes, but not all necessarily from the 'Darkside'
The picture was of a LB and GF 'friend' from Soi Crocodile, it was about 0700 yes, they were heading home back down the beach road. The original picture I published was annoted that way for 'public' consumption. I have no idea how I happened to be in that location, at that time, sober and with my camera 5555555555555
I'll mention what you say to the lads Mav 555555555555
TinTin, I reckon those two 'girl/s' look like Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie (with the lights off) 555555 2000Baht and a couple of towels well spent IMHO
