Patong on GE..

Finally they have updated to high rez the west coast..

Judging by the state of building works I would say its about 12 - 18 months old.. I can see one project I know has broken ground but not finished so thats my best guess..

I took a flight over patong with the flightsimulator in GE yesterday..
Quit fun to take the F22 at full speed towards Patong Beach... (yes, i know im easy entertained...)

This is superb.. found all kinds of dirt trails through jungle I didnt know where there, will provide loads of playtime / exploring..

Also I reckon its older than I first stated JC is built but missing its covered canvas top.. Or the water pools or the side Rd.. Villa Santi in Kalim is started tho, must be about >3 years old ?? Trying to work out if theres any pre Tsunami buildings..

Friend of mine owns a house in Villa Santi. They started construction about 5 yrs ago, IIRC. At the time of the tsunami, they had his foundation done and I think, the framing, as well. It was when officials from BKK came down to survey the damage from the tsunami, that they said "What the hell are they doing up there?", and then the project got bogged down in delays, because the Dutch developer had taken some "$hortcuts" getting the permits.

Nice to see that GE finally got around to Patong. I can remember when it first came out a couple years ago, and there was not much to see of Patong.

Thanks for the update. I think you are right with your guessing. I think it is tsunami + 6 months or newer as it shows the new police office at the end of bangla. Plus graceland is finished (has a pool) which also puts it about 6 or so months after the tsunami. But it was before Juncelon was open. So 18-24 months old?

Daaa. Actually I can see my house under construction. Based on the state, I can match it up with photos on my desktop. Off the top of my head I will put it to March 2006. Doing the math that matches up well to the timeframe above.
