Very confusing directions:

Go to Phuket city and follow signs to Koh Sre where ever that is.

Even Willma got confused trying to explain it on Saturday.

On Hash sheet I have these directions-

Go to Koh Sirey (its east of Phuket City - not that easy to find as off Surin Road and its Sri Sutat Road that is the bridge over to the island.... then from the Hash sheet ... turn left at the clock tower, go 1.6km the turn left, go 0.9km and turn right, then go 0.9km to the laarger!

Hares Wilma (monster hills) and 2 for 1 - not risking girls on this one, but I'll try and find the laarger before the end of the circle.

Turn in from the main Rawai road at the Garage at Soi Suksan Two.Follow the concrete road all the way up to the big abandoned white house.

It is where the Tinmen had their last water stop.

Please tell me this isn't true. What the fcuk are they putting the bus price up for? It loses money I know, but it's a courtesy thing surely? The Hash makes so much money every year that we end up giving it away, so why is everyone so concerned that everything has to pay for itself? Lose some money on the bus and provide a service for visitors, and give less to the gay whales or whatever cause we'll end up giving money to this year. Fcuk them, they're not Hashers anyway.

Lots of fuming going on DB - I quote from yestrday's Hash sheet -

Committee Members present ...

Dambuster, Cartoon, Minnie Mouse, SAD Gobbler, Mrs Rodman, Figjam, Apeman. Rev Fingerlicker, King Khlong, Murjury and Sucker.

Decesions taken:

a) Bus increase to 100 Bhat

b) Kids under 16 free registration. Run delayed 15 mins until after bus arrives for long run outs.

c) No bus stop in Kamala.

I know the Champagne girls (or local Thai's for tha matter) wont be able to afford that - so sorry chaps no more girls on the bus.

DB - Simbo on Saturday presented all your points to Cartoon (Joint GM) and Cartoon's answer was it was a majority vote taken by the committee and it will stand.

The committee at the same time decided to let all kids be free bus rides up to 16.

They also decided to spend money on kids free Chrimbo T shirts.

Have a look again at the committee and who has a vested interest in getting things for the kids.

I for one will not be using the bus until things are sorted even if I miss the Saturday runs.

The bus is the only way that visitors can get to the sites EG "The Shoe Factory" "Concrete Pig" "Dambusters House" "Soi Yatsanee Ridge"

The meeting was held in Kathu- given the conspiracy theories it isn't surprising that the only committee member who goes on the bus wasn't present (ie me). I have since resigned from the committee so there will be no expat registration and no one to direct the bus to the run sites. I have done the sums and this will mean a net loss to the hash in unpaid bus fares, lost registrations and beers ( based on a conservative 2 beers per person) of over B100,000 a year. Well done the zenophobic drink driving committee members who in feathering their own nests have queered the pitch for the rest of us. To not look at the bus over the year and use low season figures sucks and you won't see me on a Saturday for a good while. Tried to discuss this sensibly with the GM and Jt Master on Sat but it all fell on deaf ears.

Problem is after too much club drinking (and for some a bit of running) over time - the Hash in Phuket is now been going 20 years - while in intoxicated state have sired kids - hence the little darlings need to do something ... usually come along and sit with the ladies munching away together as Thai woman like to do as we all know ..while the guys remanise about the days when they were single and/or seriel butterflies/helipcopters/spacestations etc downing huge amounts of beer.
