The vote slips had to be submitted by Tue 12th and then they will count them so there is no need of another meeting. What ever is decided may go in our favour but if it goes against us then Tough Poo Poo - it has been an open decision by the circle.
The good thing is that we have had an open debate on the subject.

Greetings from the mists- I drew in an extra box with B60 for the bus as they didn't give it aa an alternative. Wouldn't have attended any more meetings anyway as I resigned from the comittee 3 weks ago over the way it was handled. Will look forward to the results/fallout on my return. Back to the wood hut now CYAs in 8 days

Some one can't count
82 votes cast but only 81 in Farang bus fare and Registration but 87 in Thai Bus Price.
I guess it's the usual Thai voting system .

On the Hash sheet after the votes - there is a note:-
"The votes shown above have been recorded exactly as they were handed in. There are votes by people who are not here (Ed. A nal Gas, Deep Throat, Georgious, Marathon Man, Show No Mercy, Jay Bee), both by proxy and email. There is one vote by a child. One person double voted and two people ticked every box for the Thai bus price. Some people left boxes blank. None of these irregularities have been tampered with".

Well done Crusty, appreaciate all your efforts.
Raising important issues like this through the forum helps those of us away from Phuket still keep an active interest in the welfare of the Hash.

Things work out in the end
We won a little and gave a little.
The funny thing is that the Hash don't have a forum and this place provided by Nicke is where we have been able to come together on this sort of issue.
Rather than let things run on too long I will ask the mods to close this thread down in two days. This will let everyone have a chance to reply if involved.

"One day the SLOBs will rule the world"
Good news , no bus fare increase for the Thais.
Very Fair , registration increase for all.
So-so, 70 Baht bus fare for farangs , better than 100 but a stupid ammount to collect.
At least some of us got a chance to express our views , and perhaps in the future the "commitee" will at least discuss changes before making decisions.

I was scribe last week - so did take the opportunity to make mention of this site ...
Phuket Hash House Harriers - Scribe Report
(Scibe Report of 9th Dec - yes its long so 14 paragraphs down if you dont want to read it).
Crusty you can close the thread yourself (as you started it) or maybe just leave it just in case the need arises to act again.

A vote was taken, a decision has been reached and I'll abide by the majority's choice.
I will add however, that we have made a rod for the back of whoever has to collect the fares, and I'm disappointed to see, after all the years we fought to get rid of it, dual pricing slipping back in.
Democracy ain't perfect, but its the best system we've found so far. Well done to all who brought this out in the open and forced a vote on it.
