Best UK bank

Hi
I was planning on taking my debit/visa card and using ATM's in LOS but just found out my bank (lloyds) want to charge me at least 2.50 pounds to 4 per use which if i take out small amounts will add up fast !!! any banks about that let you use cards for free round the world if not do people just take out there max ammount per time to cut down on costs ?

the nationwide do not charge you to use atms abroad ,but you may have to pay a small chrge by the local bank that you use.

You might find that they want you to make the account your MAIN current account. It's a Flexaccount without a cheque book i.e. debit card type. I've just tried to upgrade mine again - no result yet.

Sorry if I misunderstood, but I was guessing that the reason for the account was to get FREE ATM withdrawals abroad. One of the Nationwide Flexaccounts does this.

Going back to your original question ''Best UK bank'', I'd say they are all as bad as each other.

ive found most ATM dont even charge a withdrawl fee,only the smaller companies.
