i think you guys have heard me before say there is a huge % of asians in vancouver. its kinda weird that just by looking at their faces, and maybe mannerisms, i can usually pick out wether they speak english or their native languauge. its kind of uncanny

I know what you mean. It's like being able to tell which Asians are born or raised in the US or which ones just immigrated here. Imho, Asians that speak English have more exaggerated gestures and mannerisms that ones that don't, especially with women.

I dated an Asian girl once who could sit in the lobby of a hotel, and tell you 1st generation, 2nd generation, and how long they had been away from the home country. I thought that she was pulling my leg, so I asked 5 of the folks she pointed out, and she was correct on each and every one. SPOOKY

Living in Chinatown, it's easy to tell that not many can understand me. There's some cuties at the laundrymat I try to hit on, but even though they're young, they're often married already. Those babes get snapped up quite young overseas, then they somehow emigrate here through family.

I'm good at seeing Japanese tourists. It's the way they are constantly acknowledging each other with little head bobs, like mini bows followed by, "Uhhhnn". It means, "yea, I'm feelin' ya bro".

I also live in Chinatown in Sydney. The apartment building I live in runs Chinese language classes for residents. If I was single and planning on staying there for sometime, I would be in for it.

Was sitting in the spa the other day and there was already a couple of Indonesian girls in there, and one was singing. When they got up to get out, they were just wearing singlets, which were totally see through after being wet.

Oh, did I mention that I was sitting in the spa with the misses.

Growing up in the UK we didnt really have a large asian immigrant population like West coast US or Oz.. I know I would have been making a beeline for that if we did have..

the 6 months ive been here ive hooked up with 2 "authentic" asians and one vancouver grown asian. it is not that easy picking up the other ones, although i do get the feeling if you could get a chance tot alk tot henm, they are up for it. just seems they are always in a pack together, and they do hang out wth alot of guys too, but most times just seems to be friends

I'm curious...what do you BMs prefer, Asians that are raised in Asia hence have traditional values or more Westernized/Americanized Asians?

Personally I prefer more Westernized Asians just because its tougher for me to relate to more traditional asians. I dated an Asian girl that grew up in HK and UK and had this Brit Accent. Made her even HOTTER IMHO.

i prefer more traditional asians because i really like the contrasts in cultures. thats what really interests me. albeit it can be tougher than hanger out with a more westernized one

Why would you go for Westernized Asians who catched the mentality of their Western sisters?

Cuz' I'm a Westernized Asian guy

I've tried dating more traditional Asian girls and as open or as adventurous. I dated a traditional PI girl once and it felt like dating my mom.

As an Asian transplanted in America, subconsciously I grew up looking to be assimilated as a Westerner, which in turn reflects my tastes in Asian women. That and Western Asian girls tend to be sluttier which really does it for me. Have you ever seen some of the Asian Chicks in SoCal? They are unbelievably hot.

my observations:

again, i would prefer a more traditional asian girl, just because of the different cultures.
but i do think westernized asian girls are soem of the more fashionable dressers ive seen, which is a huge plus in my book.

as far as trad. asians in vancouver, the japanese girls are always dressed fantastic, whereas the chinese girls do not dress very well.
also, the japanese girls are a little more bold when talkign to a white guy.
korean girls are also very beautiful and are somewhere in between the japanese girls and the chinese girls in overall dress and approachablility

I love little BG's in LOS and Philippines but there is definitely something striking about a tall thin asian/american women with breasts. Putting the great physical characteristics of an asia women in a taller frame looks great. Too bad most of them do not have the same attitude as their pure asian ancestors.

Depends on where you are I guess. The Japanese chicks in NYC tend to dress a little grungier and the Korean girls here go all out in fashion

My university is ~80% asian population so im around them a lot. I notice they all have very good manners when talking, and as someone said use a lot of hand gestures. Also very respectful from what i can gather, although my vietnamese mate is nice, when he gets pissed he is a total ****ing nutcase lol

Im pretty good at guessing there nationality now.
