Did I deserved to get barred?

The scene: my local bar on a Sunday lunchtime. Luke is propping up the bar. One of the barmaids working today is Josie, who has a nice pair of knockers (coming from me that is a compliment, as I am not a great breast man).
One of Josie's jobs on a Sunday, is to sell tickets for the meat raffle. Today the pub was packed with a church puting, so lots of tickets sold.
John, the landlord, was praising Josie for raising so much money for the local handicapped kids' school, and Josie says:"Of course, I am not just a nice pair of tits, you know", to which I respond "No you've got a nice **** as well".
Result Luke is banned - my question is was I out of order - I don't think so!

Nope, you are in the right here. I've been in the pub game most of my working life and had to ask myself, and answer honestly, this kind of question a gazillion times.

Had you leaned over the bar and piped up 'nice **** love', apropos of nothing, you would not have had much to complain about. This sounds like she set the tone and you responded.

Tough luck this one mate, have a quiet word with the boss in the week.

To be honest I was surprised, as well. No I won't have a quiet word with John the boss, as I am moving to Hong Kong in the very near future. To me its just another example if how PC Britain has become - and I am glad to be waving it good-bye,

Yes I will face new mysteries and culture shocks when I move there, but one thing is for sure - it will be a lot more fun!

I reckon it was way over the top to ban you, if it was me I would not go back there and take my custom elsewhere. As has been mentioned, England has become far too PC - bloody do-gooders !!

Hey Luke just interested in this circumstance.......Did she ask for you to be banned or did the landlord do it off his own bat??

Either way it is a way over the top reaction to a joke already set up by the bartender.......if it was the guvner did he ban her as well????

If it was her she's pathetic to have that reaction......

the guy's a PRIG and doesn't deserve any more of your money boyo!

She gave me a dirty look, and went to speak to the Manager. He then came over, told me to finish my drink and leave. I thought it was so pathetic, that I didn't bother to argue it. Also I thought I was paying her a compliment, she has got a nice backside.

Unfortunately, I couldn't think of a pithy one liner to say as I left. Its no big deal, as I only have one more weekend to go, and I will spend it in the Bull, shite service but there's no chance of me saying anything so un-PC to the bar staff there!
