best site in all your travels?
just wondering whats your most impressive tourist attraction/site in all your travels?
mine would be the blue grotto in capri, italy
just simply amazing! the color of the water with the reflection is amazing
capri in itself is a gorgeous place to visit, but more for couples

Rock Islands in Palau, Micronesia and also in Indonesia
The beautiful lake in Colorado that was featured in Forrest Gump. The lake looked just like it did in the movie when I was there.
Big Sur coastline in northern California
Bryce Canyon

best site in all your travels?
First time i saw Palace of Parlament in Bucharest it was buid during the darkest days of the Ceausesu's regime, and its impressive.
Bucharest like Prauge is for me the most beautifulest citys in the world
But i like old citys with a long and exiting history

Hana Hotel, Maui - most romantic place think could ever find.
Lava flows from Killauea, Big Island - just something incredible about seeing new land created and the lava exploding into the sea.

Hi K2,
Friend of mine was US rep for that hotel, he loved to go out there with his family and just enjoy the peace and quiet.
Not a big Hawaii person myself as the scuba diving is way overrated but did look at the hotel and could see how it would be a very nice place to relax.

Oh so many, but I think that one that really made that first initial impression on me was Balls Pyramid near Lord Howe Island. When seen from the air is absolutely amazing.

Borobodor Indonesia, Pagan Myanmar, Angkor Wat Siem Reap, Valley of the Kings + Pyramids Egypt, Petra Jordan.......best temples I ever did see....
For natural beauty I agree with M26, Mav + Faults above but have only ever seen pics of Balls Pyramid Steve........ sure does look amazing........funny thing is it is almost on my doorstep compared to the others mentioned above....
I also like the Milford Sounds in the very south of NZ and have a special fondness for Durdle Door in Dorset England.........

One of the best tours I did was to discover the Galapagos Islands with a small boat with about 15 people. If you like the nature and animals it is imposing.
I also was impressed from Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat, all the old temples of Mexico and many more…
A camel tour through the desert of Thar (India) is also a big adventure such as to meet the people in Rajasthan.
Every place I was has his own charm.

Best tourist attraction in my travels? I would have to go with Meow. Not an ancient attraction as she was barely 20, but should certainly be considered one of wonders of the world for at least 5 more years.
Other than that, watching the midnight sun in the north of Norway in a boat (with a cold beer in hand) beats pretty much anything I’ve seen.

I think mayeb driving into the sunset on Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys, that was pretty breathtaking. Sydney Harbour is quite something as well, the Bridge and Opera house, the whole thing.

Watching the sunrise at the vulcanic Mount Bromo on east Java, Indonesia. Had to go through a moonlike vulcanic landscape to arrive there. Spectacular smoking craters. It was like being on the moon.

Whazzup one of mine was very similar.. Walking (in java) in the pre dawn light on javanese mushrooms up this mountain through what felt like primeavil forest and plants to come out just near dawn with a smouldering volcano in the distance and obviously still raw and untamed tropical forest around me..
With a head that was a bit twisted it was a real 'land that time forgot' sensation that blew me away totally.. I think I will remember that dawn for the rest of my life..

The Taj Mahal. Best times to visit are sunrise / set. The colours and light combined with the spiritual feelings are really amazing.
Also Amber Fort in Rajastan. Or many of the other forts & palaces in India.

To be totally honest I have given this a lot of thought and I have been to quite a few places and I am really stuck to say what is the best!
Probably easier to say which place quite underwhelmed me after being built up to be something really special! It's in Canada! I've been in jungles, deserts, mountains, antartica, tropical storms in the middle of the South China seas and some of the remoter parts of India and Pakistan! Afghanistan is actually quite beatiful as is Bosnia and most of Eastern Europe (Nice one Petter)
So I am not going to pick anyone particular sight or place. My first sight as a young kid that filled me in total open-mouthed awe and frightened the sh1t out of me when I got to the top was Blackpool Tower................So here it is!
Sorry!
