Nasty stuff, developed an unhealthy addiction to it when I was an ankle biter.

What about PepsI? Should I buy more stock? Sound like they are on to something!
BTW, I also own stock in Hansen's, which makes a drink called, "Monster" energy drink. The "energy" is supplied by a massive infusion of caffeine and sugar, such that makes Coke look like kid's stuff. Of course, the kids are going gaga for Monster. Sales in the first ten months of 2006 were in excess of 1/2 Billion dollars(US). Needless to say, the stock has been a rocket!! Oddly enough, Hansens made "natural" sodas in the past, but the $ is in the caffeine/sugar stuff.

Pepsi??? That drink always seemed to be kind of sweet to me. have you ever tried a pepsi and jack, pepsi and rum, or even a pepsi and skotch.

Pepsi is slighty sweeter than Coke, approx. 2.5% sweeter, which would not be very noticeable. But the reason that Coke doesn' taste as sweet as Pepsi, is that Coke is more acidic than Pepsi, and the tartness of the acid(phosphoric acid and citric acid) offsets the sweetness of the sugar(or corn syrup) somewhat, thereby producing a drink that doesn't seem as sweet, but more or less is as sweet.
I suspect that the extra acid in Coke may cause more damage to your teeth. Because a lady that I worked with years ago drank, at the least, a six-pack of Coke every day, and her teeth rotted out in a few years. You would never know it, because she had them all capped and they look great!
BTW, Pepsi has more caffeine than Coke(25 g vs. 23 g), and more sugar(41 g vs. 39 g) in a 12 oz. can. To give you some idea of how much sugar you are consuming when you drink a Coke or Pepsi, 4 g of sugar = 1 teaspoon of sugar. So, each can of cola contains approx. 10 teaspoons of sugar. Think about that the next time you order a Jack Coke!!

Guess you failed your maths exams then Jaybee
Using your figures of 39g of sugar in a can of Coke and 1g = 4 teaspoons of sugar I make that almost 160 teaspoons of sugar per can
I think 1g of sugar is far far less than even one teaspoon of sugar so something is wrong there.

I always drink diet coke (coca cola that is). At first I could never stand it, then I got used to it and now I can't drink regular coke anymore (unless with Jack).
Sometimes ppl tell me that diet coke is worse than regular coke ? I've no idea really, but can't believe that.

Didn't fail my math, and there is 10 teaspoons of sugar per can of Coke or Pepsi.
I did get it mixed up, though. 1 teaspoon of sugar = 4 grams of sugar!
Thanks for catching the error. Glad someone is paying attention!
