best airline lounges?

as im sitting in british airways business lounge at JFK in NYC
started to wonder what other people think about certain lounges?

this is a nice looking lounge but the food is crap
chips and cookies and not much else
but the booze is flowing

so far best lounge i have been in is Cathay Pacific's business lounge in Hong Kong
so big, you can take a nice shower
great food

Agree with you 100% on the Cathay Pacific Lounge, The Wing and The Pier at HK. Really nice and comfortable, also enjoy their Biz Class service.

Singapore Airlines Lounge in Changi is also nice.

MAS Lounge at KLIA, only flew with them once, nothing impressive.

Never likely to be sitting in a business class lounge myself I am cattle class.

This site is good for independant reviews of lounge facilities around the worlds airports
Skytrax Airline and Airport quality ranking and global Passenger Forums

Same here, have never been in an airline lounge either... but if there's a Burger King outlet I may be there.

i would suggest to anyone, i did it with IJ
pick an airline and be loyal to it
it may cost you more money upfront but the benefits are amazing

if you have a decent layover, being able to access the business/1st class lounges allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle

Totally agree. If you stay with the same airline, the points add up for international flights and the extra perks are pretty good. Like the lounge

I fly Delta Airlines most of the time, in the order of 100K+ miles per year and I am upgraded almost 9 out of 10 flights. So far I have flown nearly 3,000,000 actual miles with Delta and I have full access to all of their lounges as well as any skyteam lounge.

The two best lounges I have visited are the Korean Air 1st class lounge in Seoul and the Malaysia Airlines lounge in KL. BTW the Malaysian lounge in KL is the largest airline lounge in the world.

I know the benefits of staying loyal to one airline, unfortunately Delta's service to Asia is quite poor.

the only thing about 1st class on most airlines in the states is there is not too much of a difference, basically larger seats and free booze, not much more

I wasn't comparing one service to another. Delta only offer service to Japan. That is a poor offering.
As for the service on board Asian airlines, I agree that it is better.

The larger seat is all I need. Gives me room to work or a better chance of getting some sleep.
