British TV

being in Vancouver, we get a lot of TV programs from the UK (BC= British Coulmbia maybe?)

I like the real estate shows Relocation-Relocation and Places in the Sun
and i love Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares

the show Relocation-Relocation is people looking for flats in the city and moving out to the country for homes. is that common in the UK?

also an observations and i hope i dont offend anyone but im just so curious
more than half the people on these shows have horrible teeth. why is that?

You Bastard! Im gonna wait for you next time Im over. Your on my nut-kicking list now!

Its like the joke in the Simpsons: "The book of British smiles", to scare Lisa in to getting a brace. Its just that the UK is about 30 or so years behind the USA in oral hygenie. Add to that the massive problem at the moment of not enough dentists being available on the NHS or even private in large parts of the uk. MEans that can be very difficult to get good treatment. I tried to join my local dentist when I moved back here about 3 months ago, the nearest one that has space is nearly 20 miles away in a tiny village.

Is Canada still part of the Commonwealth? Also I know alot of people here that are moving over there, so they may want British TV! I think it has nealy taken over from Spain as the number 1 choice for UK expats. (Get us a job Paulie!)

As for the British TV, I've cancelled my Sky+ subscription last year and went back to my dish pointing to the Astra Satelite. I'm getting all the Germans for free and have a subscription for the Dutch Channels. Some others like CNN, SKY News and BBC News are for free in the sky. That does it for me.

I haven't noticed the teeth really, but mainly that most British ppl are heavily overweighted and many British chicks on those reality shows are quite ugly - You can flame me for that if you want, but I see what see 5555

Main reason to switch away from british tv though is that it's crazy to pay 48 Pound per month, now I pay 60 € per year.

And that's just the TV. Wait until you see the real stuff wiggling around the supermarkets with their bummer bums. I'm getting nasty now and better stop.

Well IJ...here I come back 5555

I also find the guys in the UK having more style and have generally better looks than the girl if you compare this with an "open mind" (whatever that means :-) )

I had the exact opposite experience in Ireland, where the girls have the better looks and the lads didn't have it.

As for LOS, Girls are very pretty but I can't see that same prettiness back in the characteristics of the males.

That's all very much a personal opinion of cause and not very important either.

I think you are right. Females look better when they are feminine and males look better when they are masculine.. i guess.. The Thais are a more feminine race and the western (or any other for that matter) more masculine.
Conclusion is females are better off being southeast asian and the males farang

We are handsome arent we??.. Thats what the bg's tell us all the time..

I very much like your conclusion :-)

Some nations have it both ways, think i.e. of Spain - very beautiful woman and the guys are very often very masculin and do have the looks. Or the brazils.

Now, a complete contra are the Russians (yes, again - sorry :-) ).
The blokes really don't cut the cake compared to their fellow female companions.
I can spot a East European or Russian male from their facial characteristics from 100 yards and always think, jeez, you guys have really nice girls but look at you.

Oh god, I really have nothing personal against anyone, but that's how I sometimes run around the world with weird thoughts in my mind 55555

NHS regesiterd dentists have a list of patients that they treat....... alot of these lists are full. (Due to a number of things that I cant be bothered to go in to now.) So you have to look for a dentist that have a space on their list. Most dentists here have gone private/gone to America.

Of course there is private medical healthcare here too. But were are not all merchant bankers!
