"These officers think their duty hours are to be used to drink alcohol in bars, practice sports..., visit brothels or massage parlors, and entertain (intimate) relationships with residents of the neighborhood during their patrol," said the letter from a local police chief."
Why, they are merely fostering good relations with the public, and ought to be commended for it!

That police officer came out of sickleave and wrote this order. Now he is getting flack from all sides...and justified. He is insulting every policeman without exception. There may be a bad cop but this public letter is not the way to handle that.

In the U.K you tend to find the older coppers are the ones that will sit and discuss things with you whereas the young ones tend to come with an attitude as if they are better than everyone else, i was once asked for my driving licence by a copper of around 22 yrs old and i would have been 35 and his first comment was is this your car son........and then they wonder why people have lost respect for them.

funny
it seems to be the other way around in the States
the old ones are living in the past and miserable whereas the younger ones are more honest cops
