Welcome to Tehran

i watched this documentary last night, quite interesting

BBC - Press Office - Welcome to Tehran: a journey by Rageh Omaar

i actually find Iran fascianting
i am curently reading a book Children of Jihad that is pretty good and looks at Iranian youth and Lebanese youth

the man who did this documentary is Regah Omaar, he works for BBC and lived in Britian. Anyone familiar with him?

I think he is prob the best news reporter on TV here in the Uk over the past 10 years. He has very interesting background from what I gather (WHat my Dad tells me!) and is married to a English women.

He has left the BBC, like most good BBC news people, to join AL Jazeera quite recently. I think he has written some books too.

Yes, he was born in Somalia to a rich family
well, its good to get commentary from someone that has seen his work
seems very good and likable, also

He slagged off the BBC when he left, saying they wouldn't allow him to be independent. I wonder how independent he is now being payed by the Sheiks??


(Although from the reporting I see on Al Jazeeera, its alot more independent than the terrible Fox, Cnn, FranceNews or CCTV!!)
