She should not have any trouble Paul. It will help if she has enough money to cover her stay and a return/ongoing flight booked.

Paul,
Just get Ao a private transfer to the hotel. The new airport is a long way from downtown.
Is Coolhand still in Hong Kong?

Thais should have no problems getting into Hong Kong, as long as they have a return ticket, and not too many Hong Kong entry stamps in their passport. They will normally be issued a thirty day visa. Never heard of them being asked to "show money".
Getting from Airport to Central is really easy. Option 1, for a HKD100 you get the Airport Express train to Hong Kong, it leaves every twelve minutes and the trip takes 24 minutes. From the station there are free shuttle buses to the major hotels.
Option 2 is the bus, I think its the A11, it goes every 20 minutes or so, takes 45 minutes and costs HKD40. Problem then is getting from Admiralty Station to hotel - taxi HKD16.
Taxi from Airport to hotel will cost about HKD4-500, and a limousine pick up is about HKD1200 (I think).
