anybody into old school sneakers?

i always have a pair of Addidas Shell Toe and Addidas Gazelle

just added an a old pair of Nike's

i think it just reminds me of when i was a kid, plus besides running sneakers, all the new casual sneakers are ugly

I love the old gazelles.. I had a pair for so long..

Tho I do like some modern kicks too.. North face are making some really nice tough looking cross trainers.

When I was 12-15 y., I had a series of Adidas Allround, they were really very
popular at school in Germany, I think about everyone and his brother owned a pair ... they were absolute cult really 5555

Addidas Roma's + Puma Suedes are my current faves...but I've got about 20 different pairs in the cupboard...most of 'em are either same same original but occasional new ones like the Puma Ferrari's etc...I wear them to work most days with jeans

I remember them, they were very popular/common for a while when I was a boy. I have been using a lot of Adidas and Nike over the years; mostly for indoor sports and running. Not so much for daily use.

I used to have loads of pairs when I played basketball.

The most rememberable ones I can think of were an LA Gear pair that I had. All the girls used to ask me were I got them from. I have just done an Internet search for a pic, but couldn't find them. They were black with this kind of mesh on the side which had twisted coloured strips inside. Those were "DA BOMB" as I think kids today now say.

I used to get shoes of the local American airbase, so I was always in the most coolest shoes (and cheaper!). Now I don't care......... as anyone who has seen the same shoes on me for the past 5 years in los can justify!

**But I did find some guy on Flickr who does sneeker porn for you Paul! Although with your Pink tendencies, Im not sure if its the right sex.

Different worlds mate.. I remember having to wear plastic carrier bags over my feet to get on and off the tinker site when it was ankle deep in mud.. Thats 'tougher irish kid crowd' !!
