Soldering for MP3 player

My little MP3 player needs a couple of the internal circuit board connections resoldering. It is not neurosurgery, but a really straight forward job. Following the success of having my watch fixed in Pootong a couple of weeks ago thanks to the info supplied on the board I am now asking the enlightened memebers if they know of a suitable place that can do the job.

and before someone says it. yes it is only a cheap MP3 player and I can buy another one for next to nothing but it was a present from my very young nephew and he will be gutted to know that Uncle hagler has broken it on his first trip away with it.

Head up Sai Nam Yen, past the nanai end lights where it becomes Phisit Karonee, keep going past scottys bar, about 1 or 200m more on the right is a run down looking shop with a collection of TV's / DVD players and other electrical refuse in the window.

He fixed a cheap amp I was using outdoors a few years ago.. Fact of the matter is tho, a MP3 is going to be micro electronics not just electrical and unless the problem is very easily defined (eg the earphone cabling or some other 'physical' issue) no one, even the factory, will repair circuits like that.

As you say those flash drive MP3's are sooooo cheap these days..

Thanks for that LOS. Yeah it is an easy one. I have already opened it up and it is just the 4 solder points where the earphone jack attaches to the circuit board. If i had a soldering iron I reckon I could even have a go at it.
Thanks again.

You might try a cellphone repair shop.

There's one at the bottom of Nanai, at the intersection of the Karon road. A small shop on the corner, but I had a simple repair made there once. And I seem to remember seeing soldering irons (et all) on his workbench.
