A WOMAN is on the run after slicing off her sleeping boyfriend’s manhood — and throwing it away.

The 45-year-old attacked him with a kitchen knife after he was unfaithful and abused her.

He woke to find he had been “Bobbitted” — after John Wayne Bobbitt, who famously suffered the same fate.

The screaming man, 33 — who has not been named — was helped by his attacker’s sister and daughter and rushed to hospital.

He was expected to survive — minus 80 per cent of his manhood.

Police Lieutenant Ruben Diaz said in Houston, Texas, that the man — on probation for assaulting her and under a restraining order — had been invited round by the woman.

He went to bed after a night-shift and was woken by the pain. Lt Diaz said: “There had been no argument.

“He sees the bed full of blood, he looks down and knows what’s going on. She’s still standing there, staring at him.”

The officer spoke to the woman, from El Salvador, by phone.

He said: “She claims she goes on the back porch and throws it away. We can’t find it anywhere.”

Ex-marine Bobbitt’s penis was cut off by wife Lorena in Virginia in 1993.

She threw it from a car window but it was found and sewn back on.

Bobbitt even made a porn film to show it still worked.
