Half-Life 2
I am not a gamer but I played Half-Life and Counterstrike a lot before I moved to Thailand.
Half-Life 2 is a must do and it look very impressive.
I think it is released tomorrow.

I have been waiting for it for over a year now kept getting pushed back but that has not weakened my desire for it I play a few games but nothing has held my interest like half life...I think it is released here on Wednesday...just hope my hardware is still up to spec as I upgraded last year in anticipation. I almost upgraded for Doom 3 but then got offered a chance to head to LOS instead...and I still know I made the right choice

Was expecting a lot from Doom 3, but was a little let down IMHO...,
Half life should be great though...
Have any guys played Farcry, really good game, supposedly had the best graphics engine priot to doom 3 release (however i think farcry was a lot better and probably still is!!!), So my recomendation is give farcry a go, if you have nothing to do one day....
I'm with you Mik72, definatly made the right choice there!!!!!

Unfortunately Far Cry was too hungry for my machine and ran like a dog Played it on a mate's PC though and enjoyed

I do like playing Counterstrike at game stations/internet cafe with strange people, sometimes they are kids, sometimes are old people - but they play so well. Someone made a game and we joined in, shot each other. In my country we have a lot of internet cafe which people can come and play games together though we'd never know each other before.
I like strategy games more than action games, such as Starcraft or AOE - and like playing with other people. Actually it's very cheap in my country to play game at internet cafe, it's only about 30cent for one hour. We played all day.

i love counterstrike and have been playing it since beta 5.i play it for at least 3 hours a day,it takes over my life.that said farcry was good, bafana is correct call of duty is excellent, but the next best to counterstrike for me is medal of honor.i love war type games in the first person perspective.if anyone likes to download the latest pirate videos/games/software etc, then pm me and i can point you in the direction of some sites which have the latest stuff very early indeed.only thing you need is a decent connection, minimum .5 meg preferably faster.i use 1.5 meg connection and get most films and games within 3-4 hours.
as for doom 3 i wasnt over impressed with it til i updated my pc spec just for that game,i wasnt disappointed, running everything on ultra hi settings changes the game, its wicked and probably the scariest game i have played.

I was thinking of asking Nicke if he could open an internet cafe and let people play games together. Then I remember that most of you come to Thailand for not for playing games on computers ) Stupid me!
Thank you! Recently I played AOM on my bf's computer and really like its graphic and music. I like Diablo II too - but I can only play Diablo I because I have a laptop only - and you know, playing games on laptop is not fun at all. I think when we build a new computer, we will ask you for some games.
Oh, there's one thing I wanna ask you MBs if you know. Are xbox games cheap there? and Where are they sold? I would like to buy Ninja Garden, but it's so expensive here.

i can point you in the direction of a place where you can download most xbox games but you need a chipped system and a burner.

Wow, wonderful!! Thank you. Yeah, we do have those stuff, but unfortunately Ninja Garden is a little bit bigger than one DVD, so we couldn't copy it before That;s why we think we need to buy it.
I will ask for DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) in order to fix my belly bell Thank you. Will PM you later when my bf back. He is in Thailand now.
