Also computer problem (Maybe)

Nicke maybe you are the man to solve my 'problem'.
I don't know if it's a problem with my computer or something else, but for about 3 weeks now i have problems that the forum 'envelop' doesn't close anymore after reading a thread. Also the 'New Post' signs do not close or change into "no new post'. Only when i log-out an log-in again the envelops are closed and the no new post signs are ok. Before i didn't have that problem. Then the envelop closed directly after reading a thread.

Can this be solved?

I thought i was the only one!

Ive been mucking about with my cookies settings but no happy ending yet!

I think it stems from a MS auto update for Xp that my computer auto downloaded a few weeks back! But it seems to have effected my use of this site more than any other!!!!!!

So any help Nicke would be most welcome!!

Don't think its an XP update as I run 2000Pro and I get the "problem" Unless its a general MS update for all Windows OS

I dont know, I dont have this problem myself. I upgraded this forum software weeks weeks ago so It might be the reason. I also use the lowest setting in IE for Privacy (Accept all cookies). What settings do you have there?

I find that if you reply to a post or give a reputation, then this problem is solved.

After reading a thread, scroll back to the top of the page and click on the thread's subtitle instead of using IE's "back" button. The thread will then show itself as "being read" (or "no new posts").

It works also if you go to the bottom and use the "Forum Jump"
