Mandate to Govern or Beginning of the End?

Is Tony Blair's electoral victory a mandate to govern as he characterizes it or does the less than resounding victory reflect that he is well on the way to "slow, sad political extinction," as one commentator put it, and as his foes would have it?

Apparently nobody gives a ****! Odd, considering the man rules the country of the largest contingent of BMs.

BTW, IJ, this thread is called IDLE CHIT CHAT, and is designated for off-topic subjects, that is, for subjects which are not about Thailand.

Since I know nothing about English politics and only found out about the election the day after, I was curious about it. I guess no one wants to venture an opinion, lest they find themselves at odds with one of their mates on the subject , and that is perfectly understandable.

But, as always, if you're not interested in a thread, then skip it!
