Hello to all BMs. Thanks for all the info - this really is the best forum that I have come across. I came into work this morning and was told by my boss that I have to go to Beijing next week. At first I was a bit p*ssed off at this, lots of things to arrange like visa etc at very short notice, but then I thought that it could be fun, after all there could be some LBFMs around!!! As time is short to do too much searching on the web, I was wondering if any BMs have visited Beijing and could let me know which, if any, bars etc I should go to for a good time (the more like the bars in Patong the better)? I understand that this is a Phuket/Thai site, but I know that many BM's travel elsewhere (I can remember postings re South America etc) and I would appreciate any advice. Cheers

I was in Beijing a year ago and Hard Rock Cafe was a good place to go for action. I went in there and was amazed at how many working girls were in there.. I think there was at least 50 girls and only 5 other male guest.. It was pure heaven

Another good place was called the Banana club which was the hottest disco in Beijing at the time. I saw a number of freelancers in there but afterwards some Chinese guy took us to a Mongolian Brothel (cant remember the name) which was a real eye opener..

As a last resort just go to sleep as you would normally do and then in the middle of the night your phone will ring with a offer for "massage".. I stayed at the Mariott and the phone rang every night..

you could also go to Lido hotel ( Holiday Inn).
at least before there was quite many girls there, both in the disco n the Pub.

Chinese girls are great! The scene in China (and China in general) is very different from Thailand.
Wouldn't go there for just for the mongering.
Lots of working-girls, but there are no need for that if you've got the time to put in some groundwork.
I spent a month in Shenzhen last year and had a blast. Having some language skills (or local contacts) will be a great help.

I don't know much about Beijing, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip "Jim." Just be careful if you end up in one of those Karaoke bars. They can be outrageously expensive....

I started writing a trip-report, but haven't gotten around to finishing it yet. I'll see what I can do about it in the near future.
