The Kiwis would beat that side but its not the Lions 1st choice team.
JW isn't sure of the 10 shirt, Steven Jones of Wales is in the driving seat there.
Also the best (arguably) centre in the world wasn't playing tonight Brian O'Driscoll.
Things will be a lot different when the test side is ready to be picked.

They were terrible tonight. I realise that we have a bit more in the locker than was on display but, jeez, against a third string Argentina they were abject.
In all fairness, I thought Wilkinson was the pick of the bunch. He never backed out of a tackle, never missed a kick and made Ollie Smith's try. The rest of them were shite.
The All Blacks will be laughing their asses off just now.

Didn't see the game but by the stats it looks like allot of penalties hope they are not going to play boring upfront rugby, rest assured we'll be playing a running game here hope the Lions are up for it.

Lions Schedule NZ
4 Jun v Bay of Plenty
8 Jun v Taranaki
11 Jun v NZ Maori
15 Jun v Wellington
18 Jun v Otago
21 Jun v Southland
25 Jun v ALL BLACKS
28 Jun v Manawatu
2 Jul v ALL BLACKS
5 Jul v Auckland,
9 Jul v ALL BLACKS
They won't play their first team until the first AB's match.
Couldn't get tickets here for the top games especially at Eden park unless you were a season ticket holder otherwise we had to go into a draw one guy at work won but I didn't have much luck

lions have plenty of lead up games which should be good for them.
reckon the maori game would be good where its being played
wasnt a bad game between them and wallabies last year
at least the grounds could be heavy which could suit the loins.

Yea go the blues.
I'm a dragons supporter from way back. I remember way back in the school days, was playing U16's for Peakhurst Hawks and scored a try on Kogarah Oval. That was a great feeling at the time.

played for "penshurst marist" and "hurstville CC"
have played quiet a few games at jubilee ,they just got i think 5 million grant for upgrade of the oval.
Its a shame they merged with illawarra so some home games in wollongong.
5 players for saints in orgin very impressive.

You are right
But it was very much a scratch team the lions put out. A bit like the Barbarians, all experienced test players but not played together before.
The Argies are always a handful and very physical no matter what side they field.
Didn't see the match,so I can't really comment on how well or poorly the lions played.
Things can only get better

Stevem
There are always going to be followers of league or union.
I don't much like the league game myself although I admit it is a faster game.
The whole idea of having only six tackles before releasing/kicking the ball seems a strange rule to me.
There again, union has some picky rules at times

Argentina had 20+ players unavailable, lots of them still playing domestic rugby in Europe etc. They drew some of their team from the English National league 1.
The Lions have cherry picked the best 45 players in the home nations. This was the first Lions test on home soil in 20 years, we were right to expect a performance.
The tests will be very different, but they will need to be. I do like the look of this tour, they are playing the old original sides and keeping away from obvious games like Canterbury. It should be a good summer, wish I was in NZ,

Sure, its just like the Sydney vs Melbourne thing, them and us. The aussies on the board will understand. I'm not really into union, but I do watch the super 12's here as it is on tv. Same as with soccer, or football as you guys call it, I cant really stand the game, but I watch it as it is on tv here.
Now if only star would put the NRL match of the week back on Tuesday nights like they did years ago.
