You won't miss a thing.
No problems there Mav, via one of the cable stations you shall be able to receive the Channel 9 feed.
Although it only has a cult following in Thailand; As far as most of Asia is concerned, Cricket is the only game in town and one of the Star Sport Channels are also bound to show extended coverage.
I was in Australia the last time England won the Ashes; Let's hope it is a competitive series..
And England Win

ABC asiapacific will probably broadcast highlights, and Star may well also broadcast highlights. Very unlikely that you will see a full days play.

I have high hopes for England ,but I would never bet against those bl**dy Aussies
If we have a "typical" English summer you probably won't see a full days play

For me I just hope that the key players find form before the test matches.
Its sure to be a good series.Australia haven't had a bad side since Kim Hughes was captain so thats a while ago
They may have some of the best players in the twilight of their careers, but most sides would love to have McGrath,Warne in their side. Just hope Gilchrist has a poor series,he is a superb player and the dangerman for us I think.
Like you I hope the games are decided on the field and not by the weather.
Its not long now

THORPE SIGNED BY NEW SOUTH WALESWaugh's warning for Thorpe
Cricinfo staff

Steve Waugh believes Graham Thorpe must play at a regular intensity unfamiliar to county cricket if his move to New South Wales is going to be a success. Waugh, writing in his Daily Telegraph column, said Thorpe must also immerse himself in the team and influence others in a way that Imran Khan, the state's last import in 1983-84, was unable to achieve.
"Why do we need a Pom to help us out when we've just won the Pura Cup and there is plenty of young talent to foster and develop?" Waugh wrote. He then admitted that the lure of a batting coach/mentor job was too good for Thorpe to ignore, and it offered New South Wales quality back-up when players such as Michael Clarke and Simon Katich were on international duty.
However, Waugh warned that the appointment would depend on Thorpe's attitude, and said that his quiet personality wouldn't mean an increase in domestic crowds. "For this venture to be a success, he must give NSW something it hasn't already got, or can't get from some promising youngsters," he said. "He must play with an intensity that isn't always part of English county cricket, look to improve his own game, inject enthusiasm and influence those around him."
Thorpe has agreed to a coaching role for the second half of next season, and will also play grade cricket in Sydney. Trevor Bayliss, the New South Wales coach, said Thorpe would be considered for a batting spot only if the side, which beat Queensland for the Pura Cup in March, was not performing.
Waugh said Thorpe, who is currently in his 99th Test at Lord's, was a player Australia respected: "He excelled under pressure with a technique that held up in varying conditions.".
VERY STRANGE SIGNING NSW HAVE HEAPS OF TALENT THAT CANT GET A GAME CANT QUIET WORK THIS OUT

I'm with you on this AD. For Graham Thorpe, its a good move to finish his career and top up his pension with NSW.
From a cricketing point of view,it makes no sense,if he plays,he will keep out an emerging Aussie player, and after all the years and success he has had. Thorpe has nothing to prove abroad. He should be coaching in England first to gain coaching experience, then, maybe find a club somewhere that needs his services.
Far more sensible to stay with Surrey for another season or two and play regularily, retire gracefully and begin coaching.
Strange decision by NSW.

Build-up to the Ashes
McGrath and Gillespie deliver more warnings
Cricinfo staff
June 3, 2005
Glenn McGrath and Jason Gillespie have sent England another heads-up by insisting they should be targeted - when they bat. Both fast bowlers are basking in new willow sponsorships after self-confessed "outstanding" summers last season, where they scored their maiden Test half-centuries.
"New Zealand made the mistake of not targeting us as potential batting threats early in the series and I think they paid the price," McGrath told The Australian. "Jason obviously watched my 61 from the other end in Brisbane, realised how good my bat was and has decided to join the strength."
The pair shared a 114-run partnership against New Zealand at Brisbane last season - McGrath reached 61 and Gillespie 54 - in a joyful performance for Australian supporters, and the light-hearted mood was again on show yesterday. "Really, 54 is easy," McGrath said. "Once you get to the 60s things really get tough out there. I suppose if Jason keeps working he might get there one day. As for me, a century is next and I see it as being well within my grasp."
Gillespie, who paraded a horse dance from the movie Happy Gilmore on reaching his half-century, said he hadn't decided on a celebration if he brought up three figures. "I told someone a while back I would do a nude lap around the oval, but have been told that's not really an option," he said. Gillespie scored 189 runs at 31.5 in eight Tests last summer while McGrath collected 79 at 15.8.
Acting as Gillespie's spokesman, McGrath, who has singled out Andrew Strauss and Michael Vaughan, said his partner should aim for Marcus Trescothick, who he has dismissed seven times. "I let Glenn make the big calls about who will be targeted," Gillespie said. "When you have the bowling attack Australia have you take whatever dregs you can get. Having Warnie and Glenn and Co. means we have to fight just to get on the board."
McGrath has also planned how he expects to take his 500th Test wicket in the opening overs of England's first innings at Lord's. "I think the perfect dismissal is to hit the deck, go down the slope away from the left-hander," he told AFP. "Whether it's Strauss or Trescothick, they play and miss, and off-stump is knocked out of the ground."

Andrew Strauss and Michael Vaughan, should be shaking in there boots when ever he picks his scalps he normally gets them
