Phuket Thailand

I AM currently planning for my tour in april/may 2006 and i have decided to give philipines a visit for the first time. I am planning to fly to bangkok with eva air then straight to phuket to stay there for 10 days after that i fancy flying phuket to singapore then on to clark airport to stay at angeles city for 10 nights before flying back from manilla to glasgow via amsterdam with klm. have costed the flights and this route can be done and not too expensive.
have any bms been to Angeles city what are your opinions and recomendations and do any of you have recomendations where to stay. i might fit in a couple of nights in manilla and will take drews recomendation and stay at the intercontinental.

Was In Angeles for New Years of 2005 and had an awesome time. In my opinion Angeles is where you go if you just want to party your a$$ off. In phuket you have the beach, food, culture, etc...... however Angeles is all about drinking, partying, and girls. So as long as your not expecting great food or a resort type of atmosphere you will have a blast. For hotel reccomendations I stayed at the Orchid in http://www.orchid-inn.com/
I thought the hotel was a great choice for location and also the staff is very nice. For instance there are not to many ATM's on Fields Ave so if you need money at night the front desk will let you use your credit card to get cash. Also they were very quick to bring extra towels or whatever else you might need. In all Angeles is worth a visit because its a non stop party and the fact that you only pay barfines for the girls and only have to tip them a little in the morning helps too.

Doesnt fit your dates but if you book in the next week any of a LOAD of tiger air flights in and out of Sing between Jan and Feb next year are 9.99 sing each way..

With a little bouncing around you can get as far as PI / Hanoi / Macao for the price of a couple of beers !!!

That time of year is low season in AC - so you should'nt have any problems finding accomadation, and generally staff in most PI hotels are very friendly - you might like to check out -

Quite a building frenzy going on now - so you could well get a good deal on a new hotel - always better to stay somewhere as new as possible.

AC has system of buses and trikes - buses stupidly cheap and the trikes are 50 Peso from Fields bar area to pretty much most hotels - athough find the motorcycle sidecar set-up far from comfortable - so staying somewhere around Fields Ave is possibly good idea.

The only ATM is outside Voodoo - in what is easily missed as a phone box! The money changers on Fields (around the wet market) are very competative so $100 bills easily changed (forget about TC's).

Bars- loads - best is 24hr/day Doll House - Nero's, Blue Nile, Champagne the better ones. Bar fine 1200 P in bigger bars and 1000 smaller.

If your doing 10 days Phuket - 10 days PI - you'll need another vacation to recover!!

I will be in AC for a few nights at the end of November and will PM you after I get back. Wild Orchid just redone and supposed to be nice I think.

Definitely stay at IC in Manila. Great safe hotel, Ayala Center and Greenbelt nearby, P Burgos short cab ride, 15 minutes from EDSA and 20 minutes from LA Cafe. Lots of things to do near hotel and P burgos has best girls, little expensive, like nicest place in BKK.
