Girl-friendly hotels in Hua Hin
Lots of nice comments here about taking Thai girlfriends to Hua Hin for relaxing holidays. I am going to break the mood because I don't have a girlfriend, but I will stll go to Hua Hin and hope to make a friend there
I thought I would copy across some information from another thread where BMs listed some girl friendly hotels in Hua Hin. So when new people come here looking for information on Hua Hin (since this looks like becoming the Hua Hin thread) they might find this list useful.
Thipurai City Hotel: Thipurai City Hotel :: the friendly deluxe hotel.
(mentioned by Steve@thaib and Talbotman)
Edit: 29 September - emailed this hotel and was told a 300Baht joiner fee applies. Make own inquiries.
Jed Pee Nong Hotel: Hua Hin Tourist Information - Jed Pee Nong Hotel, Hua Hin
(mentioned by Guangzhou Guy and Talbotman)
If there are others, please either list in this thread, or private message me and I will edit this post and include them. (Just my small contribution to keeping this site informative.)

Hua Hin beer bars
Would anyone care to nominate maybe 2 or 3 good beer bars in Hua Hin?
Will be there in a few weeks and I feel a bit short on information. I realise the nightlife in Hua Hin is limited compared with other cities, but a couple of suggestions would be nice to get me started....
I am using this map as my guide: Hua Hin Map by Thaiways if anyone wants to identify the bar area for me....

Thanks midnightsun. Yeah I realise the beer bar scene is pretty small - just keen to hear venues where other BMs have had nice friendly service or something more
Will stop in at Toro.

beach is a joke, nightlife is constrained in a few blocks, patong kills it for nightlife and a good time.
guess its worth a look and different outlook (bloody family tourists)
some very good restaurants.
most areas in thailand I would visit again
not hua hin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
find it to farang oriented

Paul was that the bar we started drinking in the first night? I think they did overcharge us by several vodka redbulls and got grumbly when we told them. I don't think it was the next night at the bar where my friend worked but again many vodka redbulls around the bar...so a bit unclear.
I think the most expensive v & red bull was in vancouver at something like $14 Canadian per drink... Paeng jing jing!

Found this map online today - assuming it is still accurate - I was pleasantly surprised by the number of bars highlighted.

mainly soi bintabat soi soi selakam
I think coconuts may have been the bar I was at.
also feel some of these bars arent what I would class as beer bars in the true sense.

On that map of Hua Hin, there are lots of beer bars shown. They are all beer bars, but many of them are for just drinking, in other words, no BGs. The ladybars with the BGs are only around the square area formed by Soi Poolsuk, Soi Bintabat, Soi Kelekam, and the alley way between Binatabat and Kelekam.
The area referred to on the Map as the Hua Hin Bazaar area is where there are the karaoke bars. After the Hilton disco closes, the girls go eat their pigsfeet/noodles soup, and other blistering hot TG food, which is sold in little street-style restuarants(like on Rat-U-Thit across form Tai Pan after it closes) on the plaza outside the karaokes. After the girls "gin kao laew," then they go to the karaokes. The most fun I had in Hua Hin was at these karaokes. But since the disco closes at 1:00, and the girls eat til 2:00, they really don't get going much before 2:00. Earlier in the evening, they are empty. If you haven't picked up a girl by the time the bars/disco close, then these are the places to go! Also a good place to take your girl for some late night fun. They go on til about 5:30 AM.

That is excellent information Jaybee. I can't quite make out on that map where the Bazaar area is, but it all looks very compact, so I will have no problems finding it. Thanks.

I think Pi Pi Bar is DF as well (dog friendly). They were happy to serve bishop while we drank up their stock of red bull.

Greetings from Hua Hin.
This is a lovely place and the food and pace of this town is just perfect after a hectic few days in Pattaya. Nightlife scene is modest, and there arent many guys wandering around looking for BGs. So most of the bars have been very very quiet.
Probably need another night to fully appraise the nightliffe scene - inital impressions are that the girls are friendly and very willing (simply because there seems to be so few customers about) but if you are a guy that goes for absolute stunners, then this place is probably not going to be at the top of your list. I hope I have put that across in a understandable and decent manner....
Havent bothered with the Hilton Hotel disco...and probably wont either..
