on samet, stayed at malibu garden resort...
i think it was 1.400,- (my co-traveller has all the invoices)
go at least for superior room, as standard doesnt have warm water...
samet is really quiet, i didnt know its a reservation, not real streets, just country/dirt roads behind the resort...
malibu is in the middle of island on ao vong duen, they bring u there by boat (pic)
next to it is very nice beach - ao thaln with some huge stones in the sand... (pic)
if u want to excercise, definately bring your girl with u from pattaya (around 3hours drive by minibus + 45 min ferry)

Thanks for pics, looks great! . I am staying there in July and yes, I am bringing a girl. But I am staying further north at a place called Joes Bungalows on Mai Chobs recomendations. It will be nice to chill out for 6 days there with cooking classes, swimming and lots of boom boom

IF you are going to samet then take malaria tablet course before travelling also mosquito net and repellents the island is rife with malarial mosquitos at nightime.

i went there about 8 years ago when it was even quieter have never been to kho chang

an island worth visiting from pattaya is kho si chang you have to go to si racha about 30 minutes from pattaya to get a boat to there its really quiet but worth going to and taking a couple of girls with you
