Huahin accomodation
I'm going to huahin in may and could use some feedback on hotels.
A while ago i read some replys with some info on huahin hotels, but i can't find them anymore with the search function.
I will be going with my tgf (i will book a room for the 2 of us), so the hotel does not have to be girl friendly. Doesn't have to be a hotel, a decent room with bathroom and airco will do fine aswell.
Having free internet available is a plus but not a must.
I am looking for a place within walking distance from the beach, and the city centre (want to avoid taxi and tuk tuk rides when possible).
Price range 2000 bhat or lower/night.
Possible contenders so far :
Prinz Garden Villa Service Apartment
Thipurai City Hotel
Any comments or suggestions are welcome.
Greetz,
Eddy

I stayed in Thipurai last time.. Very central, ok small room, a bit soulless tho, was ok and location was in the main noise but I always get a bike as first thing so being close to action is never an issue in my mind.
Theres another place about 200m away over the main road out.. From memory its called PP 'something' (villa, mansion, etc) and that would be a better choice while still being in the main bit. They have poolside rooms possibly called suites or bungalows also.
Next time I do HH I will look for a guesthouse a bit out of the action, I have a feeling there will be some great deals as its a long beach with only a smallish central bar zone. But thats a personal things as I am always with wheels.

Eddy,
Last year I asked a similar question and got a lot of feedback from other BM's. Maybe it is of use to you. Here is the link: http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ge...recommend.html
Succes maatje.

Thnx for your input.
I think i'll go for Thipurai City Hotel. Book the first few days in advance. If it turns out fine, i'll stay if not i go find another place.
Btw LIL: the place you are refering to is the PP Villa Hotel. Can't find their website though.
I'll let you know how it turned out over there

I have stayed in the City Beach hotel, great location, pool on roof, reasonable price at the time rooms OK but a bit dated.

I stayed at the Thipurai city last January and would stay there again, as noted above it's close to the bar area and beach and the price is reasonable.

Stayed Fulay the Naresdamri Sep,i beleave the owner to be french who as a long time presence in Hua Hin he as a sister operation directly opposite which seemed to cater to the budget traveler, ideal for internet.
All the seafood resteraunts and ibeleave there was some kind of european food market within 200mtrs,italian etc?,Soi Bintaban 2mins real stategic spot and surprisingly quite,I was paying 1200 maybe you pay a little more for a glance at the sea.Iam not easily impressed but you could feel and see the passion this man and is wife have put into this business.
