The Poodle Poo incident on Soi Green Soda


KARON: The owner of two Karon beer bars has filed a complaint with the Chalong Police against a neighbor who, she says, threw dog excreta at her.

Yindee Sutipakdi, 39, filed the complaint against 22-year-old Piyathida Muangbang, after the latter drove up to her home on a motorcycle and hurled a bag containing poodle poo at her.

The two women live a few doors apart on Soi Green Soda in Karon Village 4.

The wet dog feces, enclosed in the package that normally contains the popular peanut snack KobKap, missed its target. Instead, the contents splattered all over the floor inside the home of K. Yindee, reported as being the wealthy owner of the elegantly named Hot Hot and Black Cat beer bars.

Yindee, whose name means “glad”, marched in furious bewilderment to Piyathida’s home, demanding an explanation.

Piyathida, who was also still seething with anger, told her she was fed up with Yindee’s poodle defecating in front of her home, so she decided to collect its feces and throw it in the face of its supposed owner, thus teaching her a lesson about the need to control her animal’s movements – especially those involving its bowels.

Yindee, however, insisted that she had only just bought the house and didn’t even own a dog. She said Piyathida refused to listen to her and verbally abused her, threatening violence. That was when she decided to report the matter to the Chalong Police.

When called in by Chalong’s finest, Piyathida continued to insist that the offending poodle belonged to Yindee, who was just as vehement in her denials.

Piyathida, who works as a hotel receptionist, also told the police she had once caught the animal with the intention of killing it, but had relented and let it go.


It was only after she found a fresh pile of dog dirt on her porch that she lost her temper, scraped up the offending matter, and tried to throw it in the face of Yindee.

Seeing that a misunderstanding seemed to be the root cause of the dispute, Chalong Police were – with the wisdom of Solomon – able to work out an agreement that satisfied both women: Piyathida would have the right to beat the offending animal to death if it were again found relieving itself on her doorstep.

It was also reported that several “VIP” government officials, who happened to be visiting the station when the heated dispute took place, reacted with side-splitting laughter over the cause of the argument.
