Changi airport
Going for a long weekend to Singapore next month and will be meeting up with a friend. On departing, i am leaving from terminal 3 and she is leaving from terminal 2.
Does anyone know if once i have checked in and entered into the departure area (passengers only) of terminal 3, can i then gain access to the departure area (passengers only area) of terminal 2 via sky train or other means or is access between terminals restricted to the public areas such as the check-in kiosk areas?
Hope someone can understand what i'm asking as i sent an enquiry to Changi airport customer service and they had no idea what i was asking.

I was in the post-immigration departure area and saw a sign for a train over to Terminals 1 and 3. So I think this is possible even though the web site is not clear. I will likely be doing this next month so I was keeping an eye open for how it worked.

The following quote from Wikipedia supports ATM's theory:
Quote:
Skytrain
Main article: Changi Airport Skytrain

The Changi Airport Skytrain
The Skytrain operates between Terminals 1, 2 and 3, with a total of seven stations. The trains have separate cars for airside (transit) and landside (public) passengers. Initially built in the early 1990s as a shuttle between Terminals 1 and 2 using Bombardier CX-100 cars, the system was revamped to use the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Crystal Mover in 2006 and extended to Terminal 3 in 2007. The service is free and operates between 5:30am and 2:30am daily.

I flew there in July last year with Tiger and had to transfer to Qantas via a Bus.
So had to pass through Passport Control twice.
Once to enter and once to leave,in the space of 30 minutes.

Of all the airports where I have been in the world, I find Changi the best by far.
Spotless clean, easy to find your way, and quite efficient staff as well as luggage handling. The last time I was there, it took me less than 20 minutes to disembark the plane, pass immigration, get my luggage and walk out of the exit doors to take a taxi.
Changi has been built and set-up with Amsterdam-Schiphol as it's example, but Schiphol is not at all as good and efficient as it used to be. Changi has surpassed it with great speed.

Changi is the model for all others.. Much like Singapore, well run, efficient, etc..
To compare it to 'U-wanna-boom' just shows by how much they missed the mark..

Yeah, very true. I guess for a small country like Singapore that doesnt have any natural resources, tourism is all it's got. They really focus on their airline.

They don't have only the airline.
They have one of the biggest stevedoring companies in the world PSA (Port of Singapore Authorities) which owns terminals even in Europe.
And how about Temasek? (hope I spell the name correct).
