Smile KL LCC updates

I just did a quick Visa trip through KL LCC and found some things have changed since I was last there.

1. There are no Immigration Cards to fill in.The Immigration Officer just types your details into computer and stamps your Passport - simple!!

2. There is now a direct bus service from the terminal to KL Sentral. This only costs 9 RGT one way! There is a regular service from Sentral all day.
(Air Asia still run their own bus which costs 11 RGT.)

3. You can still get the transfer bus (green) to take you to KLIA to connect with the Express train into KL Sentral.Bus costs 1.5 RGT and train is still 35 RGT one way.

4. If you get train to Sentral the taxi stand at that level is charging Limo service prices.Go inside and up one level and go to street taxi counter instead.(Limo wanted 25 RGT to my hotel - street Taxi was only 9 RGT)

5. There is now a Bank for money changing inside the departure lounge of the terminal.

Good info...I found the Mono Rail trains fast easy and cheap. From Sentral (where the bus drops you off) You don't have to go inside...just walk across the parking lot to the monorail station. Most if not all hotels in the golden triangle are within easy walk of a station. Why take a taxi! And it's cheap....I think to the Concorde it was 2.10RM --- 65 cents

I am here now, and yes things are different.

My first time in KL, but there were no forms at the immigration and I was shocked, looking around for them.

Oh and on my way out of Phuket Airport, the guy who stamps you out, kept saying to me - Oh you go ranong ranong, ranong... and kept repeating this 100 times then said Tip... Tip... asking questions what do you do, in thai, which i ignored and answered I dont understand, although I did. Then proceeded to ask for a TIP. I was debating with myself if I should say out aloud, You want me to pay you money? WHY?! and make a scene... but i thought I would just ignore him, and then he stamped me through anyway.

So don't get bullied by these wankers is all i can say, plead ignorant, or argue... but the latter probably gets you in more trouble!

I went end of March and noticed the same, the best thing is that meter taxis is prepaid these days, buy a ticket at arrival and enjoy your ride at a fixed price, not rip off price. Same for KL Sentral, you prepay your ride before going into a taxi.
