Changing flights in LCCT

Hi everyone,

Will 75 minutes be enough time to change flights in KL LCCT or change my booking to a later flight as I didn't realise that there was no passenger transfer at this terminal.

It's a bit tight but depends on who you flying with. Air Asia allows you to book in until 40 minutes before the flight. Just be aware that if the previous flight is late you can't transfer ticket to a later flight with AA. AA flights have a bad reputation amongst some for their time keeping. I've had a few minor problems and wouldn't use them if I had an important tx to make. Otherwise 30 minute delays don't bother me.

The green bus service is regular but it takes at least 15 minutes to do the trip across.
Also have you to clear Immigration and Customs at the International?? Some times the Immigration queues are long and this takes time.

Oh then it's going to be tight. Unless he wants to pay for a taxi to LCCT. Those cab drivers really speed.

both flights are with Air Asia (I was under the assumption that Air Asia lands at the LCCT terminal).

I changed the flight considering that it cost AU$100 in the first place and I am arriving in the middle of the day (11:30).

My next question is what can I do with 4 hours (next flight to HKT isn't until 15:30).

Oops. Didnt know you are arriving at LCCT.

Erm, 4hrs, there is NOTHING to do at LCCT.

What you can do is take the shuttle bus from LCCT to KLIA (15minutes), then hop on the ERL to KL Sentral (35 minutes or less, i forgot) then take the Monorail to Bukit Bintang, then you can have about 1hr or so to walk around and have lunch, then take the Monorail to KL Sentral to KLIA then shuttle bus to LCCT.

I dont know what else you can do. May be just read a book and go online from the LCCT.

If too much hassle, then you can always take the Shuttle bus to KLIA, and hang out at the departure level hall there, some cafes and fast food and better facilities than LCCT.

Cheers

Given what other people have said about Air Asia on this site and others I thought it was best not to take chances with a $100 AUD flight.

The book is probably the way to go, just started reading book 1 in the seven suns series (There's 7 of them in case you didn't guess).

I have flown Air Asia to Phuket many times, and have only experienced the delay once. The Phuket flight is very popular, so i hope yours will be on time.

In fact when i flew them in February, they actually departed early and arrived early in Phuket. HaHa.

You can check in but dont go into the departure hall too early, there's only 1 Duty Free Shop inside, one Cafe, one "Minimart" kinda shop, toilet and one Money Exchange Booth.

I normally hang outside and sit at McDonald's or Coffee Bean (at least i can smoke, no smoking inside the departure hall) till about 45 minutes before the flight.

Cheers.
