hi i'm a first time goer to thailand , i will be going with a few mates . we will be arriving on phuket on 27th of dec then leaving on the 29th to kho penang we have accomodation there for a week , so we are planning spending new years there and full moon party . then we are planning to go to samui and pataya with a couple of weeks spear and mayb go back to phu ket.

do you think this would be a good route , and are this the best place to party and meet people , specially girls. is samui better than kho penang ?

all sugestions and tips would b appriciated.

First of all, welcome to the board, I would suggest stay new year in Patong/Phuket. You won't regret it. Patong is a wonderfull place . After New-year you can go to Ko Samui. And I would suggest don't go to Pattaya, Phuket is a much better place to go for meeting people and partying.

thanx for reply , i heard kho penang and samiu are the best place to party, is that true and which would be better of the two? and how is phu ket different to this places and is it any good . and why do u not recommned pataya?

It is true and if your looking to party with house / dance music etc then KPG is a good plan..

Tho only having 2 days in Phuket seems a bit high pressure...

Agree with LiL......take a plane directly into Samui from BKK.....spend a couple of days there and do your NY party on KPG......go to Phuket afterwards......don't double track......waste of time
