Depends on what you like.. Soi green mango is there for general tourists and basic trance type music (main green mango.. Hard house in one on the right as you enter.. Various different sounds around) but does suffer a little from the madding crowd and that will be double during your visit dates..
Check out Club Gecko on Boput beach for a sunday session.. Good music, nice spot, beach bar ibiza style and worth seeing.. Mint bar does a beach party on one night a week.. Think it used to be Thursdays..
The Reggae bar is worth a look earlier in the evening..
Also get down to Lamai for a more relaxed vibe (I stay lamai and visit Chaweng myself).. Supersub and the apres party round the pool is kinda cool..
A lot of those are nightlife / clubbing based things.. Samui has a better club vibe than Phuket so I tend to enjoy that aspect when I am over that side.. Beaches are nice, little beach bars at sunset, cruising round the island roads exploring, all in all its a great spot..

There are 2 waterfalls on the island you could go see. They are nothing like niagra mind! You could go see the Grandfathers stone(rock formation in the shape of male anatomy). Thats just outside Lamai. There is also a qaud track if your interested...Go see the big buddha etc
Nightlife....
I'm not too keen on chaweng(soi green mango etc)..Its like being on a package tour in Ibiza or wherever...
Still im sure you will find something to suit you...

Bangkok air is the only people to fly there (and have an exclusive deal with the private airport).. Just read that the locals are talking about blocking the airport and protesting as the airport has rasied prices a lot and less people are coming..

I understand that the new airport is now open, does it mean that the old airport is now closed, or they are both open. When i book a domestic flight using bangkokair.com, what airport will i be flying from and to upon return. As im flying back from Samui on the 1st and gotta be back on the plane home one the 2nd.
Just want to know where to go for one night, Bangkok or Pattaya, to save on travel time.

Its 300baht to BKK inc road tolls and takes around 20mins.
Pattaya is 1100 baht inc tolls and takes around 1hr 30mins - 2hrs IIRC.
Its all here if you use the search function.
