Question trips/tours in July?

Hello everyone!
We have been watching some photos from Tao island + from the Marine Park, just lovely!

We would really like to visit those places while in Samui.
But do you think the ocean is very rough/rocky in July?
In other words; are the boats/ferries operaiting at all in July?
And how is snorkeling in Tao/Marine park in July (is the water too murky due to the strong waves)?

We know that on the Phuket's side some island tours are completely stopped during the summer months...

Hello SpaceCow,

Last year end of august, beginning of september I visited Samui and while the weather was not good in Phuket, it was wonderfull in Samui. I went on a snorkling trip to Anthong National Marine Park. It was a day trip. During the trip we stopped at several great snorkling locations where visibility was great and halfway the day I decided to stay the night on Nang Yuan Island ( the touroperator said he would pick me up the next day... and he did). This is a very tiny island next to Koh Tao. It was superb... Only a few tourist at night... Great snorkling, you could feed the fish while swimming and by doing that you where surrounded by thousands of colorfull fish. At night after dinner.... people from the only hotel on the island have to bring you back to your cabin by boat because the high tide prevents you to walk. After that... you sit down on your cabin's veranda drinking a cold beer and enjoy the perfect view. Very romantic..........
So If I was you.... don't hesitate....... go. During my 12 days at Samui I did not have 1 serious rainshower..... but ofcourse that's not a quarantee it will not happen to you.

Back to your question....... I think all the touroperators are fully in business. All boats and ferry's are in full operation. And the sea can be rough.... but most of the time it's calm.

Cheers,

Raval

The weather is lovely here apart from Mid October - Start of December

July is a very good time to visit and the water visability will be as good as it gets all year.
