Koh Samui Local Dress Code

If I go out at night for a meal in a really nice dress and heels will I be too dressed up and look out of place or will I get away with it?

I actually found more trendy restaurants in Samui than in Patong that you really should dress appropiately for
so my answer is you will find plenty of nice places to dress up for

dress as you wish on samui kiwidd....it is a resort as well as a backpacker destination.......you can dress sexily and get away with it provided you aren't showing yer nips (that's just crossing the line for the Thais........plunging neckline no problem) but you will get lots of looks from the local Thai boys so be prepared for that (sounds like you might even enjoy that y your previous posts......plenty of falang ladies with their husbands in nice restaurants out late at night dessed to the hilt and having a great time.........the 30+ european women all like to dress up and show a bit of cleavage for a night out so why not

one word of warning though...do not walk on the beach alone at night...it is dangerous and particularly so for women....I wouldn't even do it myself....its where the local Thai lads congregate to get drunk and make trouble...
