i had a very nice meal at Prego, italian place

and its a nice looking place too

steaks ect in the centre where all the night life is any where realy as long as food is good thanks

Are you asking about koh samuii or phuket?, still shy of the last bit of info Maca, although i did notice this was in the samui/phangnan section, only just noticed, so more me probably than you.

One of the best steaks on the island is The Shack in Fishermans Village, Bophut. If you want a big meat fest try Zicos in Chaweng for an all you can eat bbq.

If you like to eat italian, then try Vecchia Napoli.
Best italian food i have eaten for a long time, even better then a lot of restaurants in Italy.
My (italian) friend had risotto with seafood and he is still talking to me about this great risotto he had in Samui. He came back from Samui in april !!!
Pizzas and the noodle dishes are also excellent.
Try out and you won' t regret...
