Gyday,

Im gonna spend a week in Koh Samui next month so im looking for cheap decent accom, ive seen Moby Dicks website and it looks like the way to go.

It's right next to Sound Bar which stays open till 5/6am so make sure you've got some ear plugs!

for real?
That'd probably explain the 700 baht/night.

I get the feeling Lamai might be a better option and scooter my way to the action in Chaweng..?

Plenty of places for 700b available in Cheaweng

Just get dropped of at Pizza Hut and walk down that Soi towards the Ark Bar and the beach, Mandalay and Cocunut Grove are fairly good.

Unless you are travelling over xmas, new year or Songkran there is no need to book, you will get a better deal than over tinternet.

If you do book on-line just book for 2 nights, if it doesn't suit your needs you can soon move.

I'll be back on Samui from around the 12th March, I'll be happy to show you round, drop by The Ark Bar (it's the biggest/liveliest bar on the beach, same soi as Pizza Hut) and ask for Phil.

If you are with a few mates just get dropped of near Pizza Hut/Burger King, you sit in a bar with all the bags and get your mates to go find a room. Every place on the Island will have a room available this time of the year.
